Calling all 94 and 95 ZR-1 Owners
Brothers,
Your help would be appreciated in responding to 4 simple questions about your car?
Our NCRS brethren continue to refine the available data about Factory Correct condition of these cars.
A close friend has asked for our help.
A question has arisen about the use of the " Roadside Assistance" decal, and if it did or did not appear on ZR-1's during the years of 94 and 95.
And if it appeared, how was it installed, angled or horizontally correct?
So, if you could respond, it would be both very helpful and much appreciated!!!
1- Year
2- Roadside Assistance Decal present, yes or no?
3- Position, angled or horizontal?
4- last four digits of your VIN ( in case of model run changes )
Your help in the past has been instrumental in identifying and validating the attributes of the cars, so again, Many Thanks!!!

question is whether the 95 ZR-1 came same way? my 95 does not have this sticker...not sure if a previous owner removed...
also, the 95 ZR-1 Owner manual came with a roadside pamphlet that some NCRS judges do not believe came with the ZR-1; that the sticker was all that came with the ZR-1 In regard to any roadside
of course the NCRS judging manual is not 100% clear on this

95 #'s 367 and 396. Both have the sticker approximently 3 9/16" from rear of glass, and 12 3/8" (frt), and 11 7/8" (rear of sticker) from top of glass. Due to the shape of the glass, it appears the sticker is slightly askew from the rubber wiper on the door. Because of the possible adjustment differences I measured the glass instead of the body. There isn't one on my 96 LT4, though I remember seeing it on some cars.

1995 #272 Has the sticker only on the driver's door. Here's the pic where you can see it on the corner of the window just above the door handle. It's a little askew. Sort of parallel to the top of the door. Sorry I don't have a better pic for you.

Roadside Assistance Decal
My 1994 ZR-1 is VIN number 113. It has the Roadside Assistance decal only on the driver's side window. The decal is slightly angled - the front is lower than the back.

I would think it could be assumed that "ALL" were intended to have this label/decal from the assembly plant. I also believe that many were removed by the first purchaser for maybe a variety of reasons.
Were I a "first purchaser" mine would likely have gone "missing".
Misaligned? Hard to tell from snapshots but perhaps it's intended location is meant to be "aligned with" the "branding bug" on the glass, even though in the snapshots that appears to not be the case.

Yours was likely removed when a previous owner did a "theft ID" on the car. The etched information might likely be on every piece of glass in the car but certainly on the two door glasses.

Thanks for all of your help so far!
While not exhaustive, it sure looks like 94's certainly had it, and at least some, if not all 95's.
Great information, but keep those responses coming!
Thanks again!!!

My 94,#245, has it like stated above. On the drivers side only, applied on an angle with the front end slightly lower than the rear. While its slanted compared with the doors molding, it does appear to be straight in line with the upper door trim panel on the interior. Maybe that's what they used in order to place the decal.

Have you dialed the 800 # or attempted to ID the vendor? I did in '03 or '04 and I believe mine was still functional.
