I would get any of the higher quality "coil over" shocks...w/o the coils. QA1's. Ridetech...something like that.

I'd be interested to hear what didn't work for you w/your Koni's? I have them on my LT1 and don't love them either.

Our Smooth Body line would be a good choice. 1.5" Body Monotube design, that bolt in place of your OEM Shocks. Or, like Tom400CFI said, we could do a CoilOver Shock without a Spring. We have had good luck both ways. Give me a call if you have any questions 812-481-4742.

I love my Koni's. They work well but results differ apparently. Ridetech makes a nice piece. Lots of adjustment.

I would be interested to hear what the OP thinks about his, but I feel mine don't have enough compression damping, especially in the rear. I'm on BASE, 92 suspension.

The Koni's where setup for the 89-91 Z51 spring rates. They might help with the base springs but I suspect the shock not being calibrated for your springs is the real culprit. Which would make sense if you don't feel you have enough compression damping. The spring is moving more than a stiffer spring would.

Yes, that does makes sense to me...and I'd wondered about that.

Springs are on "the list".

You can have the fx3 redone to the more aggressive movaca revolve. Call Bilstein in Cali. They can tell you what they do to them. I use them on coil overs and I love them on the track.

My recommendation would be to try a 32mm solid front sway bar first. It can really kill the roll and make the suspension feel more 'planted'.

Pretty sure there are GM bars in 32mmsolid I know I ordered the 32/26m solid bars for my 93 straight from GM can't recall what years used them (think zo7 package used 32 solid up front can't recall the 36solid rear bar). Wouldn't reccomend the 26mm solid rear though unless you have the tire/suspension setup it definitely made power slides all too easy! Vbp should carry a 32mm bar or even bigger not sure.
