Default ZR-1 Mechanic in MD

Hello,

I have a very low mileage 1991 ZR-1 that has been sitting for quite some time. At the very least the fuel will have to be drained from the tank.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a good ZR-1 mechanic in MD?

I am in the Rockville area.

Thanks!

The "WAZOO" group leader (Jim Voter) is located in MD (in the DC area, IIRC). I suggest you post too on the ZR1 Net Registry FORUM to find him.

Fuel tank work not really zr1 specific, other than the sender is a touch harder to finagle out with the dual pumps.

on some low mile ZR-1s that sat for a long time with an empty tank the bracket that holds the pumps rots away and it will come out easy (albeit in pieces!!)

I'd want to replace the injectors too as the older ZR-1s wont survive
E10 alchy formulated fuels for long.

I wouldn't trust that many folks at the dealership with LT5 work unless they can show me a few and what the bill was! many dealerships really don't have a clue working on the LT5 unfortunately as it's really not that hard and engine to work on, but experience as always counts.

with the wealth of ZR-1 enthusiasts in the NOVA area there is more experienced help to be had at much more favorable deals.
