90 ZR-1 Z Industries Hot Chip (E Prom)
I have an eprom/memcal done by Ron Zimmer at Z Industries for a 90 ZR-1. This was for a nearly stock car with light mods such as free-flow exhaust and air intake. It eliminates CAGS and turns fans on at lower temp also if I remember correctly.
My friend who owned the car claimed to really notice a difference and purchased another chip from Ron when he bought his '94.
If you have any questions, call Ron at Z Industries in California with the chip number (see photo) - he probably still has records on it.

Also, 90 ZR-1s used an external knock sensor circuit. 91-95 knock sensor
circuit is on board the prom itself.

Just to clarify, this prom won't work for a 91. The calibration for each model year uses a different format or is laid out differently. The values may be the same, but where the values are addressed in the calibration is very different.

z industries chip
I have one of his chips in my car and it runs great. They did a comparison test against several other tuner chips and the z industries chip was the most aggressive of the bunch. It is not a custom chip but it does work well. The previous owner of my car was a dentist who was in to performance and would occasionally track my car and he tried several chips and kept this one. Good Luck with your chip.

Zimmer did the original cal in my 95.
I ran it for many years until I had trouble with the CA smog check's NOx limit.
Ron Zimmer then burned me a cal which reset the EGR valve enable from 17-mph to 14-mph and that fixed my Smog Check problem.
Zimmer did some good stuff with LT5 cals back in the day. His chips are still good choices today.
