Default Exhaust shop bent the frame for adjustment?

Hi,

1991 ZR-1.

I went in a local exhaust shop to have my Magnaflow resonator installed. The garage did an unbelievable job. Cut a 2 inches hole in my Borla catback, cut bolts here in there, name it.

Today, I just noticed they bent the plate that is over the very last exhaust hanger, near the tips. How can I straighten it back? Can I remove it?

Posted the question on ZR-1 Net Registry, without any useful answer.

Thanks!

Thanks!
I answered your question over @ the Registry. Look at the hanger in the first snapshot in this link and tell me if this is the vicinity of where you feel your "whatever" is bent.

You should be able to ZOOM this image and see where the hanger is bolted to the impact bar and NOT the frame.

Thanks for the picture! The plate is bent... Happy to read to "move on", I hope it's not a big deal.

I zoomed on the eBay picture but I can't find where the hanger goes. There's supposed to be two holes for the bolts, which aren't there.

Thanks a lot WVZR-1 for your help, maybe I'll be able to sleep tonight finally!

The hanger mounting locations are pretty obvious. Crawl under there and take another look. The last image in the eBay offering is pretty easy to compare. The last or fifth.

This is an LT1 exhaust image and you can see where the "stud plate" drops through the impact bar. The LT5 image shows the stud plate but not where it drops through so I just did the LT1 image.

Car is stored for winter, not so easy to crawl under it at the moment.

I assume you are talking about this plate...

But I don't see any hole in it, that's why I'm not so sure...

There are maybe 3 variations of that impact bar, I knew what I was looking for and I'm quite familiar with them. Here's another and it still has the stud plate and one hanger bolted to it.

What is your rear muffler supported with now?

Still supported with the OEM hangers, ALRIGHT now I see the hanger in the link provided. So it definitely comes with the impact bar. No big deal then.

Still not gonna trust this garage though. Not the first time I'm upset about the garages here. I'm well equiped so I can do most of the job myself.

Thanks a lot for your time and your help WVZR-1 I really appreciate it!
