Does the "FG" match your '90 Build Sheet? It should.

Not sure what you mean? They are new or unused. If you mean the build date, I'm not sure and do not see a build date stamped on them. I did confirm with Bilstein that these are shocks built for GM.

Selling for $320 shipped. Check or money order. If Paypal, add fee.
I will take em......
The Bilsteins I have are BA5-7000-HO/20-070007 for front.
I am trying to figure out what the BA5-7000-W1 is??

Cliff,

Here is all I know from talking to Brian at Bilstein yesterday before posting. Bilstein made shocks for manufacturers that were made to put on the cars at the factory, shocks made for GM/AC Delco to sell, and shocks made for the aftermarket.

BA5-7000 designates it for the 89-91 FX3. The HO on yours designates aftermarket. On this set, he said W1 identifies it as a made for manufacturer or OEM. They don't rebuild or do custom work on OEM shocks. He said these would have listed for over $600 from GM over the counter. You could call Bilstein on Monday to verify if you are interested. I bought these for my 90, but selling that car later so getting rid of all my 90 related parts. Thanks for your interest. I posted more photos of the part numbers and the top of the shock.

Here is a Bilstein catalog. Page 4 has the BA5-7000 as the FX3, variable setting shock for the front of 89-91 under ZR1.

Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge. I did see on the build sheet for my 90 ZR-1 that it is coded "FG" for the front shock. Is this what the NCRS judges look for?

Great Information Craig....Especially the three Categories of Bilstein Shocks (Factory, AC Delco, and Aftermarket). That explains the Designations/Stamps on the FX3 Shocks.
Appreciate it

Yes that would be an "item on the check list". I was going to add the W1 as being constructed for an OEM in that post but rather than create a post that I couldn't substantiate "in print" I just left it alone, I'm quite sure I have it. It's good to see that the rep from Bilstein mentioned that in your conversation.

I was lucky enough to buy a front set a few years ago for less than $200
