Default Apsis: C4 Corvette Hunter Green Carbon Dashes...very cool....pix

Hi All,

We rarely come to C4 forum to post for our products. Recently we just finish a very cool kit in Hunter Green Carbon for our customer. It looks soooooo beautiful so we would like to share some pictures with you.

Most of customers know we are famous in the real carbon parts but majority of customers don't even know we also do make the Dip Print Carbon Parts. In fact we have been making the hydro carbon parts for more than 20 years already.

This customer's exterior color is Hunter Green and he likes to bring some green to the interior so we make this very unique kit in Hunter Green Carbon for him. He really loves it.

If you have different exterior color and like the similar concept then we can make it for you too such as red carbon, orange carbon, yellow carbon, blue carbon ....etc.

If you are interested in pricing, please pm or email to jw@apsisusa.com. I will quote you immediately. (Sorry we don't like to post prices because many customers like to post negative price comments)

This customer also sends us more parts for production such as Headlight Switch Bezel ....etc.

Later when we receive the installed pictures we will share with you again. Stay tuned.

Here are the pictures.

How do you deal with accommodating the power key?

The ZR-1's have a second key on the dash along with the typical key on the steering column. The second key goes in a hole in the center console in front of the shifter, but below the radio. It looks like a keyhole / key switch that would start a car, but in the ZR-1's that key switches the engine between ~260 HP and ~405 HP. That's why they call it the "power key."

It's like a valet switch. If someone else is going to drive your ZR-1, and you don't want them to have access to the full power of the car, you can remove the key and limit the power of the car.

Googling 'C4 ZR-1 power key' and clicking 'Images' will show you what he is talking about. Here's a link:

Thanks for the info.

These parts are the original factory parts and we just finish them in hunter green carbon. So whatever you already have you will just reuse it. So no issue that you are talking about.

Oh that clarifies things, you refinish my original dash parts. I though these were new parts.

What about the stencils on the pieces themselves? Power Key for ZRs have
POWER over the keyhole.

Please excuse my poor English. I don't understand your question.

This is to finish on your stock parts so whatever you have you will reuse them.

What he's asking is this...On your pic of the piece that goes around the shifter you can see the wording that is applied to the piece like the factory piece has. Our ZR-1's have the word "power" over a key hole in the factory piece. I assume you can apply the factory wording to any of your pieces so that the piece will maintain any lettering as it did from the factory. Hope this clarifies things up a bit.

Thanks for clarifying it.

No problem, if your car is ZR-1, then we will do exactly same lettering as your factory parts.

For this job, this customer's car is not ZR-1.

You answered the question, but the lettering is what is shown on the right of the picture

How durable is this?

Any warranty or guaranty on the finish?

I would suggest you to go to C4 real carbon section on our web to see the orange lettering we make for the headlight switch bezel and door latch bezel. Before that customer came to us, everyone told him no vendor could do such matching orange lettering for him. When he came to us, he seriously confirmed many times if we really could add such orange lettering for him. When he saw the finished parts in person he was so happy and then posted many pictures with a nice comment on forum. Some of you probably still remember his post. Later he sent two more shipments to us to complete his interior. You can see all his pictures on our web.

So, the answer to your question is YES we can make those lettering for you. It's very easy job for us.

Officially we offer one year warranty. But I don't think you will have problem with our parts.

Our C6 Vert is 06 and now it's 2016. Even after 10 years all the parts still look like new. We just displayed it in NY Auto Show two weeks ago and most of customers were very impressive when they knew it's been 10 years.

We are in business 28 years going to 29 years. We are not new kid on the block. We have been making carbon parts either real carbon or dip print carbon for more than 20 years. We are well known in C5, C6, C7 community for quality. You can count on our reputation.

Jersey handles it like this as he has already done my ZR-1. The orange lettering was painted by hand on top of the Carbon Fiber and then triple glossed over. This is stellar company. He can do the white lettering as well. This is my Daily Driver 91 ZR-1

I really like that Carbon Fiber look in the interior. How much does this stuff run? Also is it painted on? How well does it wear?

PM Jersey to give you a quote. The orange lettering is painted on top of hand laid Carbon fiber then triple coated. I have been driving with this in my car for years and I have yet to see a sign of wear. Its hard to described but the lettering floats on top of the carbon its an awesome look. GC
