Default Console cover peeling (again)

About 15 years ago, the vinyl cover started peeling off the console lid, and I glued it back using JB Weld. After 15 years the JB failed, and the cover is loose enough that I have trouble opening the lid. This time I am trying a new product, which is a 2 part epoxy called Flex-Set. I brushed the epoxy in under the skin, then held it down tight using some rescue tape. If this doesn't work, I guess I'm gonna drop $200 on a replcement.

I let the Flex Set cure for 24 hours. I cut the rescue tape and the epoxy held up. The lid is back on the car, good as new! I prefer the $20 fix to the $200 fix.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have the same problem and shall endeavor to re-apply your fix.

It's as good as new - nice and tight. I got the epoxy and tape at West Marine
