Since he said "before purchase", I am going to guess pre purchase inspection?

I have a friend in Enterprise, AL who knows his way around ZR-1's. Not very close to B-ham though. If you think it may be workable, I can see if he is available to assist.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the recommendations. I've been tied up with work but I hope to get back on task soon.

I live in North Shelby County and have just gotten a barn find 1991 ZR1 back on the road after sitting since 2011.

I usually wrench my own so I don't have a lot of direct experience with anyone working on any of my Corvettes but I recently bought new tires online for the ZR1 and needed someone to mount them. I called all over town looking for someone I felt comfortable with and finally talked to SpeedSouth in Pelham. They apparently do a lot of high performance work on Corvettes.

SpeedSouth doesn't mount tires but they referred me to Express Oil/Tire Engineers on Highway 119, between I-65 and Hwy 31. Turns out they also do a lot of work on Corvettes and had a new ZO6 in while I was getting my tires mounted. Their hands on guy is Eddie and I spent a lot of time talking Corvettes with him.

I would talk to both Eddie and the guys at SpeedSouth.
