Default South Texas ZR-1 BBQ October 21 to 23, 2016

The hosts this fall are Joe and Gayle Cagianut, and Glenn and Mary Breitung.
Note: this is the weekend of the Formula One race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) near Austin TX
with practice Friday, qualifying Saturday and the race Sunday.

Friday: F1 practice at COTA is probably the least expensive time to see the track and watch the F1 circus.
Friday night: Gruene Hall in New Braunfels is always a good bet, as is open racing at the local drag strip in Marion TX.
Cagianut’s home will be open for brats, brew and conversation that evening including the shop with tools and and lifts.

Saturday morning and early afternoon: Shop time continues at 9:00 AM with technical assistance from Mark Horner,
Corey Henderson, and Joe Cagianut. Jerry Downey has agreed to deliver any pre-ordered LT5 parts.

For the women, Mary will lead an excursion to the San Marcos outlet malls at 9:30 AM from Cagianut's.
Other options – Farmers Market in New Braunfels 9 AM – 1 PM (Lots of vendors – food & crafts),
and Texas Clay Festival in Gruene, TX 10 AM - 6 PM.

Bring your swim suit for a refreshing swim in Cagianut's pool.

Saturday 5:00 PM: Joe will be serving roast pig, chicken, veggies, baked beans, slaw and Mary's Texas sheet cake.
Adult beverages ... bring your favorites to share; diet soda and other soft drinks will be provided.

Sunday: the F1 race is broadcast live on one of the NBC sports channels at 1:00 PM ... We'll be watching at
Breitung's home. You are on your own for breakfast. Lunch will be provided.

Whooo Hoooo!

As everyone can see, I/we am/are committed to being there! Thanks for the invite! Looking forward to seeing the Texas boys & girls again.... I've missed this annual gathering the last couple of years.

well, since the ZR-1 is at Henderson's already I guess I will pop in on Saturday, gives me a good excuse to stretch the Z28's legs.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Joe and Gayle's especially you two for the hospitality, I enjoyed some conversation and the collection of vettes. Hope everyone made it home safe, hope to do it again sometime when my schedule is not so tight. Thanks Dan
