I always follow pricing, and since than, they have come down...They were on a downward trend when I bought mine and it's still sliding ...
I sometimes compare the pricing to the first generation Vipers...Back in the 90s that was Dodges answer to the ZR-1....
Never drove a first generation viper...Back in the day they were priced lower than the ZR-1. Now, there selling for more than a ZR-1....Maybe because of the limited production and V-10 engine....Allthough, I feel the ZR-1 engine can be more hot rodded than the Vipers.....10 cylinders has to have gobs of torque though....From what I understand they were geared very high from the factory,3:08 I believe...
Anybody ever drive a first generation Viper? How do they compare to the C-4 ZR-1 in the real world?

low production color, and in excellent condition ZR-1s might catch on with the collector crowd anytime imho. It seems the "collector crowd" does take notice of certain cars at a paticular time and in a few short years
the prices get ridiculus. The fact that the LT5 is still a force in terms of contemporary power levels and still holds the "production car" 24 hour speed record sets it apart from other "exotics" imho.
I guess it takes more prestige than that to gain "collector status" for the time being and I am good with that.
None of that matters much to me as long as I have mine to drive anyway. I am happy to have a daily driver that is fun to drive, gets decent milage, and handles well enough to keep me
entertained when the opportunity to carve some corners presents itself.

No need to worry about running out of nice clean ZR-1s anytime soon. When you are ready to get another one it won't take more than a week or two.
