That is Fuel Regulator Vacuum.....get that plugged in ASAP

In your photo the second picture...............the round black item is the Fuel Regulator.

The BIG rubber hose is Brake Booster Vacuum.

You have a screw clamp on the PCV connector which if you get new PCV Connector from Jerry......you need no clamps....same goes with PCV main hose and two Injector Housing PCV Connectors. Jerry also has that Fuel Regulator Vacuum Hose New in stock.

Some times the LT5 will have a slight backfire when starting, generally when it does it blows the fuel pump, PCV line under the TB body or MAP lines off

Thanks to Henryr for this post and We Gone for the solution. My car backfired several weeks ago and I thought everything was OK. Then I started noticing high idle when I rolled up to a stop sign. It would eventually drop down to normal idle speeds. I decided to take a look under the hood to see if I could see anything disconnected. Finally, I see the connection photographed above had blown off during the backfire. Unfortunately, I don't have the rubber 90 degree elbow anymore so I could just hook it back up.

I just ordered a new connection from Jerry's Gaskets.

It's great having this forum as a resource for all things ZR-1.

When starting Hold key in start position a bit longer than you think you need to avoid backfire, do not let key go early
