Hey Guys and Gals have my eye on a nice 90 ZR1
Low miles 9xxx perfect shape even has the leather jacket that could be had back in the days.
Red ext tan int.
What to look for is my main question from you experts before I possible buy it.
Price is a little high 37,000 Canadian IMO as compared to a nice 96 lt4 collectors edition for 20 grand Canadian I found. I know 2 different beasts but just need your opinion.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Andy

My first thoughts would be -
Injectors: 9k+ miles would make be suspicious of the injectors. Fuel Injector Connection has stainless IIRC. The injectors will run ≈ US $800 (check with Jon at FIC for details).
Tires: Certainly, if they are the originals, they need to be replaced, unless you intend to trailer the car to NCRS competition showings.
(SPT) Vacuum circuit: The Secondary Port Throttle (SPT) network may requires new plastic lines and rubber connections. The check valves should be checked for function while you have the plenum off. Jerry's Gaskets carries just about anything else you car might need to refurbish the entire network.
Aside from the LT5 stuff (mentioned), the car is a C4, and sitting that long and not driven has typical 21 year old car stuff, e.g., fluids, filters, ball joints, lubing the chassis and checking the rubber bushings/suspension stuff, battery, wiper blades, etc.
But, once the checklist is complete, you'll have a BEAST on your hands and you won't be sorry for choosing the ZR-1!
