What is a fair price for an 89 ZR1 prototype? I am interested in this one at Barrett Jackson https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Even...TTE-ZR1-201422

89s have sold from $50K to $200K over the last 10 years. I can tell you if it is around $50k I may own 3! Given the time slot and rarity of the car will more then likely top $100k. It will be interesting. an 89 has not crossed the block since #004 did back in 2010.
Not many of these exist and only 4 or 5 are in private hands.

Havent seen any posts from you in awhile. How you doing? Just talked to a friend today who came into a stash of ZR-1 parts and will be doing an inventory for me to post later.

Its actually dark blue metallic with ghost flames. It was used by the painting school. it was painted twice. Red.. then Dark blue. Originally it was dark red metallic.
Tyler, I'm doing well, been away from the ZR-1 world for awhile. Been busy letting my ADD take hold. LOL

If I had to guess I would say hammers at $105K, but I have no idea. I have left a bunch of information for the consignor and gave him my number if he wants me to talk to interested bidders. As I have stated before this is the absolutely best 89 in existence. The problem with it is it has very little pedigree. I have never seen a single period picture, article, anything on the car.

0074 was the west coast press car. It was pictured in many magazines etc. Pictured here in Hot Rod June 1990
0078 was also a press car, but I can't find it in any period publications

I bet it will go for north of $200k+
They gave it a Saturday list and it's the only 1989 with an MSO. (Owner was discussing getting the car titled).
Can't wait too see what it'll bring!
