Default Danbury Mint: Corvette ZR-1

Hi All

I finally have a little free time now. Just been very busy moving into my new house, which I had built. What a hell of year for me. Not much ZR-1 stuff. Finally got back on line this week and just found something new here, a Danbury Mint 1:24 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1. Looks like I’ll have to get one of these! Check this out:

Art,
The model looks great. Where can it be purchased and what is the cost?

Thanks

We need to see if we can find a source for these. I understand this is a limited run I think of only 5000 made. The place I found these is selling at $150.00 each. I am watching these on E-Bay too to see how far they’re pushing. I’m going to sit tight for a while and see what’s happening with these prices. This product is brand new which just hit the market in the last few months.

That's the most realistic model I've seen, at least in that pic anyway. If you were scrolling thru pics it'd be hard to catch. Window tint helps also. Great color! :D  :smash:

A friend of mine got his last week and was telling me on the phone about how it is one of the best models he has seen.

Some how I got to have one of these. I got a ton of the Maisto 1/18 92 ZR-1’s, Tester’s and Red Box 1/24 scale which doesn't amount to much for me as much as this one. Let me know if anyone knows where there's a better price on these. At $150.00 that's kind of stiff. I don't know how I'll explain to the wife about this and getting away with buying this at $150.00 especially moving into a new house and not even have the back yard done yet.

Bob

The production list is still on the ZR-1 Net, in fact it will be there permanently or you can click on the link I have on my signature here and it will take you to it. It’s only going to be 94-95 there will no 93’s or older at least not done me. These are the only two that I know of that exists.

Hi Art!
The Franklin Mint also made a ZR1 diecast model. It is the 1993 ZR1 40th anniv edition in burgundy. They are more abundant, so not as expensive as Danbury, and higher quality (I think) than the toy store die-casts.
Along those lines, I'd be interested in a GP for the Danbury Mint ZR1 model.

Ted

I’m only interested in the 95. I have seen the 93 40th from Franklin Mint, but not interested in that since I own a 95 that’s what I would like to have. I called Danbury Mint this morning and asked if they was interested in a group order and they said no. This model goes for $122.00 including shipping through them if you guys are interested.
