I have a 405 hp motor new in crate with a EPROM part no 1 #12528772 ACDELCO can any one advise what this EPROM is, also advise on which is the best way to increase HP to about 520 -550 max I already have headers fitted.
Your advise would be much appreciated, as I live in Australia not much info down here the Forum is a great help.
Regards Brian.

Adding 100shot of NOS is probably going to you the cheapest way to get to 500hp.

G'day mate, been getting pissed at the billabong with any shelia's lately in Oz's back of beyond? ;)

I assume you have Z to put your LT5 in, and want 520-550 at the crank?

Besides the headers, a free flow 3' exhaust, P&P of the intake and IH along with a large TB is a nice start. Others will be along to give you more advice on how to squeeze out more HP without getting to radical, but expect recommendations on increasing your cubes up to a 415 as well.

Ooroo

Some owners have gotten into the 500+h.p. (at the flywheel) range with just porting the plenum, injector housings, and heads, + headers, no cats. But to get into the 550 range you'll probably need cams. and spend lots of time on the dyno, tuning the beast.

Getting there by going with new big bore cylinder sleeves + pistons= 368c.i. is also an option.

And then you get into the "stroker" realm with cranks that get you into the 380-415c.i. range, and with it more power than humans should be allowed.

Good luck mate!

some pretty radical porting of the top end will get you there but it's a real stretch. for that level of HP,, a 368 is advised.

bring your wallet, it's pretty pricey.

might give Haibeck a call, he's been able to pull 430+ at the wheels from some "top end cars".

my LPE 93 475 car puts 397 to the wheels, and it's stock displacement. I know you can get another 30 with better porting, and cams.

the 4" bore of the 368 really helps the ported heads breath better with the larger bore size and it helps the torq out too.

good luck and g'day mate.
