Default [CA] FS 87 Coupe 4+3 Highly Modified

Dark Red Coupe, 52,000 miles, Street Legal, CA Smog Legal, Great Weekend Driver, Very Competitive for Autox and Open Track Events. I am the second owner, have had it since 1991, unfortunately, no time for it now.

Many Modifications:

Engine: Top end package professionally installed by Myron Cottrell of TPIS (www.tpis.com). Featured as the “Torque Monster” in Corvette Fever magazine. Air Flow Research Heads, TPIS cam, 1000 cfm TB, Big Mouth manifold, large tube runners, K&N filter, adjustable fuel pressure, Hypertech coil, custom chip, Centerforce Dual friction clutch: 355HP, 425ft-lb torque (same components measured on the 355 test mule at TPIS prior to installation)

Exhaust: TPIS long tube headers, Random Tech High flow cat, Borla 2.75” rear Y-pipe, Dynomax Stainless tipped hi-flow mufflers, great sound.

Brakes: 1996 Corvette Grand Sport Calipers, and 13-inch slotted rotors, Porterfield carbon Kevlar race pads, flexible stainless steel lines, Doug Rippie Air Ducting. Very Confident stopping power. No fade in a 20 minute track session.

Suspension: Bilstein shocks, Vette Brakes and Products Competition Springs, Polyurethane Bushings, Z51 sway bars, adjustable ride height. I was getting too much body roll with the stock springs, was scary on a road course, so switched to these, excellent! (only downside is too stiff for daily commuting for my 50 yr old taste; I have the stock springs, will reinstall if buyer desires).

Wheels/Tires: CCW 11x17 inch spoke/mesh style, 315-35-17 Kumho Victoracers (DOT legal) at all four corners. Cornering capabilities are quite impressive, will pull 911's in the corners and blow their doors off on the straights (except for the bi-turbos).

Safety: 4 point Baker-racing roll bar, Simpson 5 pt harnesses, fire extinguisher, camcorder mount.

Excellent Balance of Power and Handling, Very Stable and Predictable, Very Quick in the Turns and on the Straights. Very Reliable and Low Cost to Operate (No “DNFs”). Asking $14,000, OBO. Located in San Jose, CA. Call Jim at 408-506-3100. Will load pics as soon as I figure out how (spent the last 30 minutes trying).
