Default F/S Rare option '92 Black Rose w/42k NOT Salvage

(Tucson,AZ)

This is a rare '92 black rose vert with tan top for sale with 42k NOT a salvage.(Rare for many special add-ons supposedly Oscar De La Hoya was one of the previous owners. We saw it featured in the background on his 20/20 biography special). My aunt drove it off the road about a week ago. The passenger side skid down their hill. Three rims are shot so the rims are out. And the passenger side paint is wrecked with some fiberglass torn on the door and around the outside tire wells. Apparently everything else is in tact and very good/excellent shape. Lt1 w/ approx 42k engine in tact no damage, rear's ok, front and hood in tact/excellent shape. ECM seems in tact and no electrical problems showing. (He drove it home). He also just recently had the brakes redone. BTW, ITS NOT SALVAGE. He just got a bulls*** quote from the Chevy Dealer to fix the side which was 11 grand so he got the insurance cash for it. He just wants me to make him some cash from it seeing how he got almost the whole thing paid for now and still left with an easy to repair vette. He works in a shop with workers who can work with fiberglass, but doesn't have the time to deal with it right now so Im takin it over. It seems like it would be a good parts car or a VERY easy fix-up. Entire interior's in very good/excellent condition and in tact aswell. I was there when he bought it and know how he keeps it in excellent shape. He's selling it for 5 Grand(5,000). I included pics now aswell as some under the hood to show there was no damage there. For some reason, he didn't wipe down the engine bay with a rag when he took the pics. I can assure you though everything in there is in very good shape almost like brand new. It was just sitting in his garage for a little over a week(dust).

Also, some of you may have questions why the 40th emblems are on the hood side. As I said, this is supposedly and according to the previous owner we bought it from, Oscar De La Hoyas vette. Either a specially ordered 92 with the emblems and seat emblems or a specially ordered 93 in Black Rose, one of the two. (Haven't checked into the VIN yet myself) Undoubtedly one of a kind. We were going to auction it off before the accident. This car has many extras I haven't listed yet, but none of them are negative in the least sense. I was there with him when he bought it from the previous owner and did most of the talking. I can tell you whoever buys it will be getting alot more than their money's worth. If my current financial situation was different, this wouldn't be posted and it would be sitting next to mine in the driveway without a second thought. Either that or I'd just rip out parts for its AC Delco goodness to feed MY vette.

Though it may look heavy from the pics, all it takes is one look at what little has been damaged beyond the fiberglass in person. This could easily sell for more so its 5Gs firm to the first buyer unless someone makes me a better offer.
We're in Tucson, AZ. I was gonna put it on Ebay soon, but I wanted to give the vette forum first dibs seeing how I know it would go to a good home.

That engine doesn't have a weeks worth of dust on it. That is an engine that has never been cleaned, or was under water.

According to your seats and your valve covers, your car is a 1992, not a 1993. Therefore, the 40th dadges are in-correct and a previous owner added them, they are not from the factory.

First off, if the car was under water, none of the ECM would work and there'd be evident water damage. Especially with the opti. Not cleaned or sprayed under the hood regularly maybe, but he definitely had it clean under there a few months ago when I saw him driving it. Anyone's welcome to come down and take a look at it through his shop. That's all dust and only dust with a moron that probably spilled some oil on the filler.

Second, I never said the car was all factory original. It was obviously custom done just with one look from the interior alone.
Lastly, some of you pointed some visual oddities at different angles of the damage. Yet there's still some illusions the pics might give where the side door damage was done. Watson chevrolet had a look at it and wrote him up an invoice of the damage done and what needs to be done to fix that. Mostly all of it is body work. The car needs to be aligned before being highway driven, but the pics might give the illusion that the suspension looks off where the damage is done in which case it has already been looked at professionally and nothing has shown. If you look at the engine bay pic. It looks like the whole bay is bent which is obviously not true from the other pics and especially not in person. Like I said, anyone's welcome to check it out. I can also have him fax any and all papers/documents from Watson Chev to SERIOUS inquirers if you send me a fax # and/or arrange a meeting to view it if you're in the area.
