Default 1984 Z51 corvette for sale (NJ)

Hello all,

Unfortunately I will have to sell my Z51 auto 84' white / carmine red vette (98,XXX). Options include: Z51 suspension, power driver seat, and Bose stereo. Clean title. I have decided to find a ZR1 and will need to sell the 84'. I love this car. I bought it 3 years ago and have been slowly restoring her. Following is a very detailed description and many pictures. I am an extremely particular person, and have described all aspects of this car. Overall, she is very good shape and always gets complements. Car is very clean and has been garaged and taken out only on sunny days for past 12 years. Was a daily driver before then. Price: $4,500.

Description:

Exterior:
Painted 6-7 years ago by previous owner. Car was in a collision by previous owner. New hood and front bumper. New hood is missing underhood lights. Paint is in very good condition. Emblems in very good condition. There are some rock chips on the front bumper. There is also a dime sized rock chip on the hood, and minimal chips in paint at the door edges and around headlights. These chips were all touched up, but visible when up close. I included pictures of the chips on passenger door. The headlights were realigned and I had new door hinges put on the doors, which now close perfectly. Bumper, hood, headalights, and doors all aligned quite well to each other.

Interior:
Weatherstripping: All replaced with oem - Around windows, targa top and hatch. I have new door weatherstripping that will come with car, but have not had time to install yet.
Dashpad: Excellent condition with no cracks.
Dashboard: Very good condition with some minimal small cracks around some of the screw holes. Breadbox intact.
Information display: Works perfects. Bright during the day and dims perfectly at night. Never flickers.
Radio: Bose casette system... Works most of the time, but occasionally flickers off by itself. Casette player does not work. Speakers have poor sound quality as volume is raised. Antenna works perfectly: Replaced by me when I purchased car.
Cruise control: Works perfect.
Seat: Carmine red original perforated seats, with no tears and very minimal wear. Power seat on drivers side: Motor works, but I believe gears are stripped and seat does not always move.
Carpet: Carmine red original carpet, which is sun faded in hatch, but has no tears. Other thatn fading there are very few stains on carpet.
Door panels: Good overall condition, but carpet is peeling off. Armrests are ok. Door locks work well manually and with key from outside. Electric locks actuate, but do not lock the doors. Have not had the chance to diagnose why.
Windows: Function perfectly. Upgraded by previous owner to newer gear driven. Windows do not align well: I replaced all weatherstriping and had door hinges replaced, afterwards windows do not close perfectly. However, if I close the windows all the way, and then drop them down 1/4 inch, they close quite well.
Targa top: Excellent condition. No cracks. Headliner is in excellent shape.
Sun-visors: Sagging badly, and thus removed by me.

Mechanical:
98,XXX miles on original drivetrain: 350 cid with crossfire injection. Completely stock engine. No modifications. Engine runs excellent. Starts up immediately and idles perfectly. Very minimal oil leak from valve cover gaskets and oil pan. Minimal transmission fliud leak also from pan gasket. Transmission shifts firmly and there is no slipping. Stock exhaust replaced 4 years ago and in excellent shape, with minimal rust. Brakes very good. Parking brake works perfectly.

Battery just died from winter storage, I will replace prior to delivery to new owner.

New radiator in 1998 by previous owner. I removed radiator and had it professionally flushed and cleaned in 2004... All debris removed in between radiator and condensor. In addition, I flushed engine block, flushed heater core, replaced all heater hoses, and upper and lower radiator hoses. Car runs at 205-210 while driving. If in summer traffic, temps will rise to 228, and then immediately be brought down to 215 when fan comes on. Fan works perfect.

Air conditioning does NOT work. I have not diagnosed why. Heat works very well. Note: I have a previous post about leaking heater core... It was a loose clamp!!! Heater core is fine.

Suspension:
Car drives perfectly straight. Four wheel alignment 3 years ago. New upper and lower ball joints and new front shocks at approximately 65,000 miles as per previous owner. It is evident that ball joints were replaced (rivets were drilled out and bolts present for new upper ball joints). There is no play at 12:00 position and 6:00 position in front wheels.

Wheels:
Rims are original 16 x 8.5 front and 16 x 9.5 rears. Rims were refinished when car was painted. However, the refinishing was not perfect. Black painted inserts was not done perfectly and there is some slight running of the clearcoat. There is minimal curb rash on edges. Overall, the rims are very presentable. Front tires are Uniroyal tigerpaws with 80% tread and rear tires are Remingtons with 20% tread remaining.
