Beautiful car. But your price is very high. Not saying its not worth it.

If i was looking for a 92 vert 6spd in white and had that kind of money cash laying around I would buy yours.

But.... edmunds 8k, kbb 12k, nada 15k.

So lets say i buy it from you and on my way home i get in a wreck, car gets totaled insurance says i pay you high book value-lets say 15k(if they feel nice) i am out 3k......period i am fckd. i dont like taking risk of that sort. I mean what if it had 2k on it and you were asking 30$. Unless this is some type of collector museum car that one will not be driving you are taking a great risk. That is one reason you may not be selling it as fast as you would like.

The real life story is that when that total occurs they will not offer you the high NADA value. The first adjuster(i call them the pleaser) will come by and tease you with that kind of price to please you.

Then they will switch adjusters on you and the second adjuster(I call them the spoiler) will offer way less more on the Edmunds side. Then I'm really really fckd.

Then I gotta get the lawyers out. Dont wanna go thru all this sheize.

Now you may wanna go thru a special policy etc...

But why? when I can get a 98 for that kinda money.

But it is GORGEOUS!

Aren't comments about price inappropriate here?

In any event the car for sale is a great looking car certainly worth the ask price. Edmunds, NADA, Kelley and the rest are just guides that don't take into account cars in really exceptional condition. Insurance concerns are easily resolved with a stated value policy - I have a stated value policy on my 89 for it's true value which is higher than the book value. A C5 in this price range may in many ways be inferior to this car (miles, condition, repairs, etc.)

Good luck with the sale! C4 convertibles are just great cars for the $$$ and this one is in spectacular condition and worth every cent.

You'll be very hard pressed to find a 98 Vert with 16K miles and mint condition for the same price.....you might be thinking of a high mileage Coupe that is in so so condition...

Default Reminder - still for sale, buyer backed out

Just a reminder this car still for sale, had buyer but he backed out at last minute, he couldn't raise the cash, apparently he has to sell another car first according to his wife...

To those of you who were truly interested and I sent info to, I'm sorry I said the car was sold, I was trying to keep my word and hold the car for this buyer.

Lesson learned though, if still interested please pm me for info. This is a great Corvette!

To KARAGEORGE 2....Now lemme get this straight, your spoutin off on this board about a mans asking price for his vette, your giving all kinds of ridiculous hypotheticals about insurance, blah blah blah,in violation of board protocal and in violation of common courtesy. And you do not even OWN a corvette. You do not even own a corvette, you probably have NEVER owned a corvette, and it sounds like you know NOTHING about corvettes. You should not even be allowed to post on this board.

Your car is SPECTACULAR. I am biased, though. White with grey interior was my first choice in my search almost 2 years ago. There weren't many made. I "settled" for the red interior.
16k miles for $18 grand? That's the going rate, I think.

Thanks for the kind remarks and bump for the car vetfiend and J Wireman.

I didn't pay attention to the idiots remarks anyway, If you don't own a vet and haven't put the blood, sweat and energy into taking care of it and maintaining it, especially a quality car like this one...you have no clue.

I decided to put the car on ebay...it's getting close to my reserve...so we'll see. Someone will wind up with one fantastic car which is practically brand new.

Thanks again

Wish I didn't have two already. I really need a 90 vert 6speed with adj suspension...optional hardtop would be PERFECT. Nice car.
