Default 96CE LT4 6 Spd N. ILL 62k Miles

Well let's see-NEW PRICE $15,000 firm WIFE WANTS BABY- SO MY BABY HAS TO GO!
I DON’T WANT TO STORE IT THIS WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I came upon this car at a local dealership. I bought it with 54k miles, now it has a little over 62,500 miles on it. I've owned it since June of 06.
I'm selling because life priorities have changed, & I need to focus my time & extra money in other areas.(Wife wants a baby)

I stored it from Nov 1st to the end of March. Fired right up.
It is completely stock except for the muffler elims, descreened MAF, K&N air filter, & open stock intake housing.

It is a garage queen, but not a trailer queen. I don't drive it in the rain, I have a SUV for that. This vette has all original paint; no body work has been done. No accidents or repairs. Paint is in excellent condition, there are couple of nicks in the paint... touched up buy the previous owner. The rims are in almost perfect condition- No road rash. Body is in A1 SHAPE except for the previously mentioned nicks.

This spring I misdiagnoised a hard start situation, I thought it was a bad fuel pump. It turned out to be a leaking fuel vibration dampener between the in-tank pump & fuel feed line. No more hard start, & it has a new fuel pump to boot.

CLEAN TITLE- At a local bank. We could go straight there & I think you could leave with the title.

CLEAN CAR FAX- I can show you my copy to save you a few $$

WHAT IT HAS
Silver Exterior (RPO Z15 & 13U)
Interior color- Black (RPO 19I)
Glass top- (RPO-CC3 & 24S)
Bose Gold CD Player- Stereo is awesome (RPO U1F & UX0)
Dual Power seats- Works great (RPO AG1 & AG2)
Reclining Seats (RPO AQ9)
Automatic Heating & Cooling- Works awesome (RPO C68)
Lt4 Engine- Stock & VERY STRONG (RPO LT4)
ZF-6 speed trans- stock shifter- Shifts smooth & easy (RPO MN6)
Dana 44V Rear end- Stock no noise
Rear End gear- It has the OEM option of the 3.45 Ratio (RPO GM3)
Tires are decent- 10k-15k miles left (Depends on how you drive
Suspension- (RPO FE1)

Mobil one oil used ONLY!

Pictures- I can take more specific ones upon request.

I can be reach at 815-509-0576

Does no one like silver?
Folks this is as strong of a STOCK LT4 as your going to find.
I'd keep it if I was going to drive it more- I haven't even put 3k miles on it this year.

I work at a Construction company, & our parking lot is gravel so it's very dusty- I would have to wash it everyday to keep it clean.

It's just not right having it sit in the garage for weeks on end not going anywhere... Please take him home.

You won't get anywhere near what your asking. Here's a link to a completed listings search for 1992-1996 6MT Vettes. It's not very promising for a seller.

It seems that asking prices over the last 6 months have ranged from $12k for a high mileage LT1 up to $24k for a low mileage LT4 convert.
There doesn't seem to be any sort of reliable pricing structure, just whatever "Joe Blow" decides to write on the sale sign that particular second.
I listed my car 6 months ago for $18,900, at that time I was priced in the upper third. Now I'm at $15,500 down over $3000 & still no interest.
This absolutely befuddles me. Any lower & I might as well just trade it in as I already have a $15k trade value at a local stealership.

couple questions... what would need work in the next couple years? About weatherstripping? Gaskets? carpeting?

want to know, cause it's all the things I got to change on mine and I hate that.

Carpet is great- only a small wear mark under the gas pedal.
Weatherstripping is in very good shape.
Gaskets? What are you referring to? Intake, header, head?

It's a tough time of year to sell. Your car looks nice and the price is reasonable, it's just late in the season and C4 sales are slow anyway. If a dealer is offering you $15k trade. . .take it. The savings in sales tax on your next car would make it worth it right there. I don't know what your tax rate is there, but in MN it is 6.5%. So getting $15k for the car in trade, I would save $975.00 in sales tax on the car I would be buying. In that scenario, I would need at least $16k for the Vette just to break even.

Right up my alley at your price... unfortunately I'd have to sell my '92 6 speed to get it.

Still for sale-
What kind of pics do you want to see?
Anything specific?
Would also consider possible trades & cash...
Maybe something with an LS1, 1996 Mystic Cobra, or ???
