Default -> SOLD <- FS: 1994 Polo Green Corvette Convertible

SOLD: 1994 Polo Green Corvette Convertible. (VIN 1G1YY32P1R5120499)
Price: $11,500 (price lowered on November 23rd, 2010. Original price was $12,000)
Location: near Ann Arbor, Michigan

I am the third owner of this beauty and have driven it sparingly. I purchased the car in June 2001 with 53,636 miles on it and now it has 64,369. All of the miles that I put on the car have been on warm sunny days.

Exterior color: Polo Green
Interior color: Tan
Convertible Top: Tan
Transmission: Automatic
Radio: Stock Delco Boss with CD and Cassette, aftermarket 10 disc changer integrated in
Seats: Sport Seats – 6 way power

Here is a brief history of the car and the things that I have done to it.
- The car was originally a lease vehicle from Les Stanford Chevrolet from 1994 to 1997.
- The second owner purchased the car from Les Stanford in October of 1997
o The second owner used this car for daily driver
- I purchased the car from the second owner in June of 2001
- Water Pump replaced in 2002
- Front bumper/clip and hood repainted by Jay’s Chevrolet in 2003
o This was to remove stone chips from the previous owner
- In March of 2003, I replaced the factory wheels with the “A” Frames and new tires
o ZR-1 “A” Frames from AFS Wheels
o Tires – Goodyear Eagle F1 – Front 275/40R17, Rear 315/35R17
o Original wheels have since been sold
- LTPWS – Low Tire Pressure Warning System: one of the steel bands broke inside of the tire while driving. The sensor bounced around inside the tire until I could get home. Needless to say the sensor was no longer operational. When I tried to replace the sensor the only thing that was available was a larger sensor. This larger sensor did not fit on the new ZR-1 “A” frames. So I sold the remaining sensors. The LTPWS has been disabled so the light is no longer on while driving.
- In September of 2004 the starter was replaced by Champion Chevrolet
o New starter is Genuine GM
o Starter still has lifetime guarantee
- In August of 2009 I had the following mechanical work done by Champion Chevrolet with genuine GM parts due to running rough.
o I have the receipts for this work
o New OptiSpark – still has lifetime guarantee
o New Spark Plugs and Wires
o New Water Pump gasket (due to OptiSpark replacement)
o Complete coolant flush
o Power Steering flush
o Transmission flush
o Brake system flush
o Fuel Injectors cleaned
o Replaced Fuel Filter
With all of the above work, the car runs like new.

I also have the following documentation that goes with the car.
- Factory Build Sheet (replica ordered from National Corvette Museum)
- Factory Window Sticker (replica ordered from National Corvette Museum)
- A 1994 sales brochure
- The owner’s manual with leather case
Now let’s review the visual appearance of the car. As mentioned above, this used to be a daily driver so it’s not a show car. If I had to classify it, I would say it’s a 10’ footer. (meaning that from 10ft away the car looks gorgeous) Below are some pictures of the car along with a link to a slide show with 50+ pics.

Very pretty. Gosh, certainly don't need another one, but the C4s are almost to the point where a person should be buying them up at these prices. Probably heard it 100 times; already have 1,2,3 ...., no room in the garage, when I sell one of my other toys (these are my excuses!!)

Good luck

Default It's still available

Well it's March and even if we did get snow last night, Spring is right around the corner. And what better way to bring in the new cruising season than with a Corvette Convertible.

So take a look at the slide show and let me know of you have any questions.

thanks for looking

Default Spring fever ?

The only cure for Spring Fever is a long ride in a cool car. And this car happens to be available to help you get through it in style.

PM me with any questions.

Thanks. I made the listing with the detail I would like to see when car shopping.

Also, this weekend I plan to get some pics of the underside of the car. So be on the lookout for an update to the thread.

Default Pics of unerside

Hello again,

I had planned to wake the 94 from her winter hibernation today. But it's 40deg outside. I just couldn't bring myself to start the engine being that cold. Even with the Mobil 1, it's going to be thicker than normal. Which means harder to pump and lube the engine. And since it's been sitting all winter, I doubt there is any oil remaining in block. So for the sake of not wanting piston rings moving on cylinder walls for the first 200 RPM's without oil, I decided to wait for a warmer day.

With all of that being said, I did pull back the cover and get some shots of the underside. The name of each picture corresponds to the location. (ie, ds-front1 = Drivers Side - Front)

So there it is.

Let me know if you any questions or would like to see other pictures. Once the weather warms up, I plan to get her on ramps and get better underbody pics. So stay tuned.

Default Up on Ramps

Ok, we finally had a nice day here in Michigan so I woke sleepy beauty. But it wasn’t easy. I had her on a battery tender all winter and it still won’t turn over. (click, click, click) So I hooked up the regular battery charger and finally got her started. I plan to get a new battery later this week to take of this issue.

So I get it started again and got the ramps out. Here are the pictures of the underside. I’m sure people say this all the time, but the pictures look worse than the real thing. I couldn’t get enough light so the pictures are kind of graining.

Anyway, on with the pictures.

once again, let me know if there are any questions.

Spring is here and that brings Corvette Fever. This car is the cure.

I just bought one like this (6-speed polo Green/Tan) last week from a guy in the Raleigh NC area. Mine is in great shape and looks new like this one. It gets attention, but not too much. Anybody looking for a great driving, riding, running, and looking Corvette should seriously consider this one. The price is without a doubt on Par.

Sweet Ride!
