FS: 1992 Corvette - priced right
I've decided to sell my 1992 Corvette. Clean title. It runs very well with excellent power. Well maintained with many, many receipts and maintenance records. Maintained by Top Flight Corvette in San Diego.
Located in San Diego county CA. Come buy it and drive it back. It will make it easily.
PROS:
- 300 hp LT1 V8, synthetic oil changed every 3000-4000 miles
- Automatic.
- 3.07 rear end. Pretty good off the line power but holds over 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.
- Climate control, 4 way power driver and passenger seats, power windows, locks.
- New interior professionally done. Carpets in excellent shape.
- New KYB shocks, new brakes, O2 sensors.
- New weather stripping.
- Recent new OPTI (vented) New Radiator and water pump (within 30k miles.
- Falcon 275/45/17 tires (70 %)
- Chrome Saw Blade wheels. No road rash.
- 2 Targa tops, Car cover and 1992 Field Service Manuals.
- Mini-bra (new)
- Most of the exterior in good shape except for front bumper - Paint chips on the front of hood from construction zone.
CONS:
- 178K miles. Mostly freeway. Runs like 17K miles
- CD doesn't work. I was going to put an after market one in.
- minor oil leak in rear of intake manifold.
- Passenger seat buzzes when trying to retract. Track probably needs cleaned.
I've disclosed everything I know about this car. It runs well and strong. Well maintained over the years. I used it as a daily driver for over 2 months going 80 miles a day before I got an econo-box. It ran great.
Passed CA smog test today with flying colors.
$5500 firm. Please PM me if interested.

based on your post, I guess you 92 is worth $5,000-$7,000
I read a lot of discussion about what '84s are worth, C4s not worth much, etc.
Consider this:
A '90 Corvette holds its value better than a '90 Lexus, Mercedes or BMW.
A '94 Vette in decent condition is worth between $6,000 - $10,000.
A '94 Lexus LS450 in good condition is lucky if it gets $6,000. An ES350 is worth less. A '94 BMW of any model , in any condition is worth a lot less than the Lexus or Vette. This holds true for Mercedes against Vettes.
In my research a Vette in decent condition will command a higher price than a decent Lexus, BMW or Mercedes of the same year.
A 1999 Vette is still going between $14,000 - $17,000.
A 1999 BMW 32x or 52x goes for about $10,000 - $12,000.
The Vette is a better resale investment and value. Even the '84. What '84 commands $4500 of another brand?
The '82 vette is getting $12-$16K. What '82 of any Mercedes or BMW commands that?

Safety Car
I have a pending sale/gentleman's agreement for a little less than that on my low mileage '95, but it is a 6-spd and dark met purple. I bought it cheap and sold it cheap. A red automatic will attract some traffic, but I will tell you what I learned even trying to sell a late model C4 with 80k miles and good options-
-People are broke-*** lowballers.
-People are infatuated with round numbers like $1000, $5000, and $10000- once a guy gets $5k he starts shopping up to $7000 and you will be dealing with Mr. $5k soon enough.
-People will come by themselves on Sunday when banks are closed and no way to get their car home to joy ride your machine.
- The average buyer will be close to 50 years of age
good luck (mostly with your patience, the market will balance itself- you just have to decide what your bottom dollar will be and either haggle to it or sell it for that price straight up to get more interest/people calling you.)

FS: '92 Corvette - lower price
I'm motivated. Need to make room hopefully for a new Vette family addition. Negotiating a deal.
$6000.00. Tell your friends! Come get it!

Jesus, you cant give this thing away! I have a 1992 in good shape too and this is just depressing!! How the heck have values gotten this low?
At your price point, shes worth more parted out....as sad as it is to say, youre better off putting it up on jack stands and just taking it apart and becoming freinds with your local FED EX shipper. You can make $5500 off body panels and interior parts easily.

Horrible market, horrible time of year. There was a '91 in Denver with 81k miles, looked pretty decent, they needed it gone and kept dropping the price. Finally went for $3800.
It is a good deal at this price, but who can say when the right buyer will show up.
