F/S 1986 Corvette 5+3 Blue Navy, Excellent Conditions
For sale is my 86' Z51 Corvette (private owner), 114,000 miles, 4+3 manual transmission, Z51 original high-performance suspension package.
VIN: 1G1YY0782G5123473
Price: $9,000 (just discovered looking at the center armrest that this is a Z51 hahaha!).
Details:
The Good:
- Except minor replacements everything is stock, including paint color.
- Engine runs strong. No scam here, no engine light, no overheating, no electrical problems, no transmission problems, no start problems.
- All regular maintenance and repairs done by Dave at NorthStar Corvettes (Mountain View), ask around and everybody will tell you he is the specialist in C4s in the bay area. All records available and he knows my car very well in case you want to ask.
- Clean title. No framework damage, no accidents reported. Title in hand. Registration up to date.
- New Optima long life battery (worth $200)
- Stock alloy wheels. Good tire thread.
- Exterior lights all working, retractable lamps all working.
- T top, (removable)
- Original color paint.
- I own the car since September 2011 and I've driven 2000 miles with it (mostly from home in Palo Alto to Stanford). Since I bought it, Dave at Northstar and I have taken good care of the car and have made it a nice reliable car. New parts include: new MAF sensor, new EGR sensor and EGR valve, new Temperature sensor, new cooling Fan relays, new mats with the Corvette emblem, coolant flush and regular oil and oil filter changes.
- No bad reasons for me to sell it, the fact is that I just got a 03 Mustang and I need to get rid of this baby.
The Bad:
- Paint is starting to fade. Paint it and you will raise the value of the car by 3 or 4 K easily.
- Leather seat on passenger side has a scratch, although not as bad for you to need seat covers for this car.
- Air conditioning does not work because I disconnected the blower motor, it needs a new relay.
If you want a classic Corvette that you can actually drive instead of just staring at it like a museum antique, this is definitely your car.
MSG me if interested, I'm in Palo Alto / Mountain View area (CA).

the left front wheel should be on the right side and the right front wheel should be on the left side. the angle of the air inlets on the wheels should be pointing forward like the rear wheels.

But the tires are directional, if they were mounted on the wrong wheel, they will need to be dismounted and remounted on the correct wheel first.

if the wheels are all 9 inches wide, put the front wheels on opposite sides of the car in the back? swap the tires on the wheels and Then move the rear ones to the front
