96 Collector Edition in North Jersey

Sorry you're having such trouble selling this car, it looks great and that's a good price on a CE. Don't know if it helps any but is that a Corsa catback exhaust on the car? You might look and see if there are any brand badges on it. Could influence someone's buying decision and the Corsa exhaust is a popular choice.

dclafleur,
Yes that is a Corsa system. Sounds nice too.
Thanks for the kind words. I've only listed the car here on the forum and realize it will take a while to sell. There are many 96's out there for sale. I believe I'm in the ballpark on price but you never know.

A current forum member is coming tomorrow to view the car.
Let's see what happens.
If the price is not met I just may keep it for a while.

The offer was far below my price. I understand where the buyer is coming from as he plans on reselling so deduct for this and that. Non original driver seat belt, replace driver seat cover with OEM leather etc etc.
I learned the hood was repainted, the water pump is a Bosch unit, rear carpet is poor after market quality and a few other things. OH and at 79000 miles you should be aware of trans issues.
He started the car; which has not been started in two months; and it fired immediately. He commented on how nice the car was overall though. It's all business and I fully understand that.
I'll be calling him tomorrow rejecting his offer.

If I'm going to take a hit on this I'll keep it a few years, use it as a toy, put about 10K miles additional and blow it out then.
There are a few ways to skin this cat.

I'm comfortable with my price as stated.
It's not going to hurt me to keep it for a while.
When the fellow started it and I was on the outside looking in it reminded me of my 1969 Italia GFX. I really miss that car and have for the last 31 years.

This may be a little verbose so please bear with me.
I've decided not to sell the Corvette at this time for a few reasons.
As stated by my wife ( I really love you kid ) I have yet to really enjoy the car. Been too preoccupied with potential problems from way too much forum reading. I guess that's the way my brain is wired.
Was presented with a photo of my then 13 year old daughter sitting in a 90 Corvette at a auto show. Written on the back was "My dream car". I have yet to let her take it for a spin. She never mentioned it but I'll bet it's still there somewhere in the back of her mind. She is now 36.
Have yet to take my 33 year old son for a spin and let him experience the thrill of driving it.
Dad will be on board for both occasions so not to worry.
Knowing how much I drive, I figure I can keep the car for 4 years and still have under 90K on the clock. Knowing how I drive, at the worst the car will be in the very same condition. Then after we have extracted our joy's and thrill's it's off to the next owner and the price will be attractive to boot.
