FS: 1989 Z51 Coupe 6speed JIM BARTH 396 Stroker FAST ECU 550+hp
Hey Guys,
For sale here is my pride and joy. I've put alot of care, time and sweat into building it. She is a 1989 c4 coupe, millennium yellow with the z51 handling package. This car will be a heck of a deal for anyone. You CANNOT build a motor/car combo like this for less than my asking price. Save the time and money and benefit from my and Jim's work and enjoy a turn key hardcore street car combo.
My wife and I bought a house last year May, and we're doing a full remodel. I just don't have the time to work on the her anymore and I can't justify letting this much money sit. It will pay for the materials an addition I'm drafting up. She has 114k original miles on the body. I purchased it in December of 2010 right here on corvette forum from another member and it has been a long road of expensive modding ever since. It had at the time a fully forged 355 with a hot cam, edelbrock heads, miniram etc. But i wanted way more power, and soon after got in touch with Jim and we made big plans. The previous owner babied the crud out of this car, washing waxing etc. garage kept and so have I. I have kept it in an air-conditioned garage and covered. The entire drive train, minus the transmission, has just under 5,000 miles !!
This motor was hand built and tuned by Jim Barth, his outstanding reputation speaks for itself on these forums, so I will say no more. I flew him out here once I installed the motor and properly broke it in so we could spend a few days tuning it. You will be nothing shy of astounded of the quality, power, and sound this motor delivers. It idles at around 925rpm and is extremely smooth, there is next to no shaking even with the 3.875 stroke.. The entire rotating assembly was balanced to within half a gram! It has never been dyno'd but it will make 550hp at the flywheel with no problem. I never got a chance to put nitrous on the car but had plans to, it's built and capable of handling a 200+ shot. I cut absolutely zero corners when having the motor built and used top of the line parts. I'd rather take alittle longer and do it right than rush it and regret something later. To name a few the machine work was $1100, the rotating assembly was close to $2500 and the cyl heads were just over $2000!
An oem Factory Service Manual will be included. I also have ALL the receipts for EVERYTHING that has gone into this car. I have various factory parts that will be included too.

I'll also be listing the car on ebay, autotrader, and for sale here locally.
I'm happy to answer any questions. FYI this car is ready for a road trip if your not local. You may need ear plugs but I would feel completely comfortable driving it long distance

This Corvette's build is well documented and it was done the right way.
Steal of a deal for someone. I hate to see you sell it but I understand. Hopefully, you had a blast building it and learned a ton I'm sure.
BLWS.

I keep looking at your beautiful car trying to convince myself to buy it. The wife would not approve. I may get kicked in the head for thinking it.
