FS: 1996 Coupe - Southern CA - SOLD
1996 C4 Corvette built in June 1996 – color white with beige/black interior
I bought the car back in 2009 with 79,565 miles
Has the F-45 shocks
106,000 miles
Runs and drives very nice
Auto transmission
Car gets ~30 mpg going 70-80mph on a flat road. I average 21-22 which is city/highway driving.
I only used Mobil 1 when the oil is changed (once a year or 7500 miles)
I used Chevron 91 octane 99% of the time. The other times were Union 76.
My price is $6,000 firm.
I'm located in Southern CA (Riverside County). You can leave me a PM if interested.
New:
Wheels 9.5" front & rear
275-40 17 BF Goodrich KDW with ~8000 (bought @97,730) Tires purchased from America’s Tire
New battery (Bosh) installed about 2 years ago
New fuel filter and fuel pump installed 2 months ago
Auto transmission serviced with no reported problems
New radiator/hoses back on 4/25/2009, and flushed out this summer with fresh coolant
I upgraded the brakes in the front to a C5 with braided lines.
Replaced spare doughnut tire with a one from a GTO
New weatherstripping all the way around - installed last year.
Everything works except:
Antenna - I installed a new antenna mast, but it sticks up about 1/2 inches from the base. I could not get it all the way down after 3 attempts so I gave up.
The Bose CD/Cassette player works fine, except the cassette door does not go up. It was this way when I bought the car back in 2009 - See picture of audio player.
The driver side seat has worn spot (see picture)
EXTRA:
I have the FSM in 2 red books
I have a new California car cover that was bought before the start of summer
I have lots of information including repair info available on a DVD that I collected over the last 4 years.
I have 2 keys: one to use with the PKE remote and one without
I have all the receipts of any and all repair work.
The car has always passed smog.
I'm selling it because my daughter started College that is costing me $1500/month, and I don't need 4 cars with just my wife and I.

Bump for a great car and a great deal. A guy posted in C4 Corvette 1984-96 on Facebook he is looking for a C4 and has 6k to spend. I commented on it to check CF for this sweet 96 for cheap. He is wanting a stick but after he looks I think he will change his mind. Hope it goes to a great home!

For those that are contemplating having their kids in college, trust me, it costs an arm and a leg. This first year, we are spending $1500/month for her room and board, not including books and equipment. It will be slightly cheaper her 2nd year, but still very expensive.
