Question: are 22 year-old tires safe to drive on?
Are 22 year-old tires really safe to drive on? I thought tires had to be replaced after something like 8 or 10 years for safety reasons
1992 ZR1 corvette for sale, it is red on red, all original with 19700 miles, clear GA title, Clear/Clean carfax. Car is number 280 of 502 produced in 1992. Car is very nice and comes with the painted and glass top that I don't think has ever been out of the bag. I have the original window sticker, leather zipper owners manual documents, ZR1 flashlight, ZR1 pin and the other smaller flashlight, original owners name, targa top wrench, plastic emergency key and two other sets of keys and two Full Performance keys. Car is very nice and runs and drives great, everything works COLD AC, the radio rear speakers started crackling after about 20 minutes of use. The windshield has some cloudiness around the top and sides very minimal. Paint is beautiful, interior is beautiful one small wear spot on drivers side floorboard. Seats are perfect as is everything else on the interior. Car has all the original tires and wheels have no curb rash or damage. Engine is clean and shows no leaks or issues. They only made 502 of these cars and anyone is welcome to come look and inspect nothing to hide with this car it is clean and still smells new inside.

No still have it and it is still sitting in my garage, I am standing firm on 21 grand this car is so nice and I am not going to give it away. Someone called about the date code on the tires and they are all original as I was told from 1991 and 1992, so that just goes to show this car was driven with kit gloves and not abused. Most ZR1 had the rear tires replaced in 6 months. Anyway, I appreciate the interest someone will see that this is a bargain and add it to their collection.

That was me on the tire check...thanks for do it that. I am still in talks with my wife over whether we need a 5th corvette, not looking that great at this point. Once I brought up that i would put a lift in the garage to stack the cars talks really broke down... maybe we can get a mediator.
