Yes it is, I still don't have 30,000 miles on it and its just as clean as when I bought it and drove it home. I am thinking of just keeping due to the drop in value of the C4's and just start driving it more. I cant make myself give it away so having 2 Vettes is better than having none.

I had a C4 and a C6 at the same time too. I was happy to get rid of the older girl. It will sell in time.....

Are you positive it is a 1988 and not a 1989?
Build date of 7/88 puts it in to beginning production of 1989 model year.

Well, as far as I can tell.. its gotta be an '88. Its a 4+3, not a ZF6.

First of al, sorry for the hijack.

From Vettefacts.com:
Production Options and Build Statistics

Total 1988 Corvettes Built - 30,632

Total 1988 Coupes - 20,007
Total 1988 Convertibles - 10,625

Coupe Serial Numbers: 1G1YY21x2J5100001 to 1G1YY21x2H5122789

The last five digits for this car is 21788. The 1001 from last '88 model year.

They must have a late model year run that year, or Corvettes are on a different schedule that the rest of GM models.
My father retired from the Janesville Assembly Plant, and new model years always started after the 4th of July shut down. That is why I asked about year.

No worries.
With a little research I was able to answer my own question.
Sorry to cause any worries.
GLWS, it is a beautiful example for a 1988.

Your car is extremely nice! I would suggest trying to sell it in another venue. You'll wind up giving it away here. Some potential buyers (dreamers ) here think that the $1800.00 they have saved up should get them a next to new C4.

SOLD!!
Buyer picked up today and actually got more than forum asking price, 2 buyers are better than one and all from posting ad on local craigs list and neither one tried to low ball like some forum members go figure.
