NOT Selling my Pristine '96 COLLECTOR EDITION!
WHAT WAS I THINKING??
I've come into some cash and was going to sell my '96 CE for a C6 Grand Sport. I even posted a For Sale ad, below.
Well, after driving a 2009 and 2011 (non-GS) and a 2012 and 2013 GS, I've come to the conclusion I've been on a fool's errand! Yeah, they're fun when you're close to the edge but... for the 90% of "normal" driving I do, the visceral experience of my '96 is just plain more fun!
So, I guess I'm just going to have to put some more cash into my beloved little '96!

I understand your decision completely. You have a beautiful car that's fun to drive. C4's are a blast to drive and deserve more respect. I have always enjoyed them. However, try a C6 Z06. You may enjoy it alot. It has that same go cart like steering the C4 does, although it's a much better handling car. It is a beast when you get on it. 28 mpg on the highway as well. I've had 2 C5's and another C6 and always missed the C4's I had until I bought the Z06.

Go drive the 427 convertible...you'll see the C4, trust me.

It's nice to see someone other than me enjoying their C4 rather than treating it like a stepchild in favor for a newer one. Personally I'm a C4 junkie however I love all Corvettes.

I'm glad you're keeping it. It's gorgeous. Also, I'll add another vote to leaving it stock. The CE is a prime example of a model to keep original.
Hey, you could always just grab another, rougher C4 and go nuts on modding it. If you have the space, that is.

Hi. I just became a first-time Corvette owner about a month ago. I bought a '92 Black Rose. I noticed that your beautiful car has caliper covers on the brakes, and I was curious if you have stock brakes, and if you do, where could I find those for purchase. Thanks. I love my car more every time I drive it. I still am trying to sell my silver miata, that the Corvette is replacing. Miatas are nice, but I don't see myself ever going back. Thanks, and take care. Steve
Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum. My brakes are stock, with HPS pads. The Caliper Covers are from MGP. If you do a search for "MGP Caliper Covers," you'll find plenty of sites that sell them. I think I found mine on sale for around $160.00.
I wanted to add a dash of color to the car without paint or vinyl. These install easily and, as you noticed, they do the job!
