1988 35th Anniversary Auto (tons of pics)
*Price Drop* $7,750
#1875
I picked this up back in July'ish last year with the intention of cleaning it up to make a nice weekend number 2 tourer. I've just got too many things going on (trying to start a new business, etc.), and I just don't have the time to take it further.
The car has 114,xxx miles, has both tops, records/documents back to 1988.
Things that I have completed:
restored door panels
restored center arm rest
new windshield weatherstrip
new rear weatherstrip
new outer window seals, both doors
spent many, many hours cleaning/polishing the paint and finish
new shift boot
new shift indicator and bezel
new door panel handle trims, lights, fillers
new ash tray door
restored inner windshield trim pieces
restored dash pad/speak grills
The front nose will need a repaint and the molding replaced (spare 35th molding included with sale), and there is a small spot on the PS front of the hood from the PO nudging something while parking. Pics are included below. My goal with the appearance of the car was that it would show as great condition for it's age, not to restore to a garage/trailer queen, and something that I wouldn't be afraid of driving.
The front speakers will need replacing/repairing. the PO painted the original trim molding, and there are some places where the paint is chipping off. The valve covers will need to be restored (paint and new emblem included in sale). The car does throw an Anti-lock warning light when the car reaches ~10 mph. I haven't had a chance to look into, but believe that is indicative of a wheel speed sensor adjustment.
Additional parts included with the sale below including:
new nose mask (purchased in the interim until the nose was repainted)
replacement Bose head unit and rear speakers/enclosures
gas lid with 35th anniversary emblem
replacement MAF
1988 Corvette service manuals
replacement sun visors (thought I would need them, but restored the originals)
spare/parts digital cluster
door hush panels
35th anniversary seat leather restoration and re-dye kit
valve cover paint
valve cover emblem
set of door inner weatherstrips, both sides
Car is located north of Atlanta
Now asking $7,750
PM with email and I will provide full res pics.

Pretty great price for a 35th Anniversary Edition. Especially with all of those parts. GLWS

I actually drove mine from the previous owner's house (about 45 miles), parked it in the garage, and immediately started removing the interior. I have taken it out the last couple of weekends since the interior is back in. But I don't drive it nearly enough. If I didn't need the funds, it would be staying right where it is.
I still knock things off the list every weekend as well. This weekend I'm putting on the door weatherstrips, maybe, unless I wait to find some replacement Bose units. Last weekend was new plugs, cap, rotor, and I installed the open air lid and new K&N.
