Default F/S Red/Black 1988 Z52 4+3 62k

-SOLD-

My 1988 Z52 4+3. Red exterior with a Black Interior.

I bought the car in January 2015, but am putting it up for sale now because I want to buy a ZR-1 and this car is taking up space in the garage. It makes me sad to sell this car because of her great condition but I want her to go to a good home. Little bit about the car:

This is the most immaculate 1988 4+3 with 62,478 miles you will ever find. Most owners say that, but I mean it. It has EVERY option that wasn't the special anniversary option. Has the more rare Bronze Top to go with it's Red Solid top but I'll get to that.

Car is 90% ready for Bloomington Gold or NCRS. She's had some parts replaced over the years but I have EVERY original part in a box to go with the car. I just never got around to refurbishing and putting it all back together for that but ALL parts are included with the car. What does that mean? So glad you asked!

Exterior Condition 9.5/10
Interior Condition 9.5/10
This is on the Original paint too. This car once won 2nd place in a 100+ car show while it was dirty. True 1988 show car.

All Speakers work, All amps have been replaced with the correct part numbered Amps (and the old ones come with the car)
Sport Seats are fully functional from the movement motors to the bladders and pumps! (the old ones come with the car)

Dash has been converted to LEDs, but I still have the original halogen bulbs and they are included.

How about this, included with the car is as follows:
-Car Cover
-Red hard top
-Bronze Hard top with ZERO Cracking, Crazing or weathering. (I'm going to post a video here in the next day or two to show you, it's impressive as hell as compared to my 92's top)
-All Original Parts for the parts that have been replaced which includes but is not limited to:
--Brake booster
--Air Dam
--Original Halogen bulbs from the dash
--Original Speaker amps
--Original AC Compressor from when it was replaced/updated
--Original Air Cleaner Lid (It's got a K&N in it now)
--Original sport seat bladders (worthless but included)

Cool yea?! What about Extra's? Everybody loves Extra's!
So included with this car as extra's are the following:

Extra NIB Overdrive gasket and filter kit.
1988 FSM (both books)
Haanes 1984-1996 Repair Manual
Laminated Build Sheet and Window Sticker.
Unopened 1988 brochures (one is opened because you've got to look right?!)

Wait there's more!
Also included with this car is the Contact information for EVERY previous owner. Every single one, all the way down tot he guy who picked the car up brand new in 1988. Also is the name of the guy who inspected it at the dealership before it was picked up.

There is also a document detailing EVERY piece of maintenance done to the car. It includes what mileage, and who did the work. Also includes cost depending on who did the work.

Now for photos of the car!

Hanging Mirror Clifford not included.

You could eat off this engine!

How about that paint!

Look at those LEDs!

Epic Sky!

So the nitty gritty now.

I'd like to ask for $9k OBO. I know folks are going to email or PM me with lower than that, and that's fine. That's what the OBO is for. If you do go for my asking price though I'll put a set of Nitto 555's on the car before you take it. Why that's mighty generous! (If you take the OBO obviously the Nitto's aren't included). The tires on the car are old though, and while there is zero dry rot and I've driven on them all summer I wouldn't send someone cross country on them (although the car would totally go without any trouble).

SO that's the skinny.

If it wasn't for the house I'm in the middle of buying I would be taking this car from you...

With the tires I don't feel the 10K is a bad asking price at all. Very nice clean car. The change of dash color might narrow interested parties.

Pictures don't show it, does it have the original radio?

Thanks Everyone!

Original dash bulbs are included. I can even put them back in for someone if interested, it only took me about 45 minutes to do the job the first time. There was nothing wrong with them, I just wanted to prevent any future problems since they were the original bulbs. LEDs are inherently more blue than Halogens and while I ordered LEDs that were supposed to be matching original color temperature those are the ones that I got. I ended up not being too bothered by it after the fact and also feel like it made the dash easier on the eyes at night.

In fact I even started THIS POST ABOUT IT after I did the job.

It DOES have the original radio AND fully functioning original climate control. Here is a photo of the Radio and Climate Control, as well as the RPO Code Sticker.

Thanks again everyone please let me know if you have any other questions, concerns or an offer!

Same story here.

So, if we weren't both buying houses, I'd say we'd settle this with an arm wrestling match. Cuz... 'murica.

Seriously though, gorgeous car and almost an exact match to the combo I'm looking for on my 2nd Vette.

These are the type of C4s that will have the potential to appreciate in the future! Awesome to see one that has not been neglected, beat down, and destroyed by idiots over time. This one should sell fast.

As an aside, I really like the modern blue-ish effect of the LEDs in the digidash. It modernizes the lighting without changing the original display. Neat.

This is a stunning car and a great example of how they looked in the day. I can't believe this is where the market is in general...such a nice Corvette and under 10 grand.

Don't give it away. I'd hate to see someone get it that doesn't appreciate what they will have.

Nice car.

Although i'd prefer an '89 (for 6-speed sake) If you were closer to NJ I'd be driving this home this weekend!

This car is a real gem.

I originally wanted an 89 for the 6 speed AND the digital dash, but my first vette ended up being a 92. Then I got this 88 and I love it, but we aren't ready to find another house so I can have 3 Vettes... (notice I didn't say I couldn't have three... I said we don't have space. My wife is a keeper!)

You could always make an offer and ship it! Maybe we could meet half way the weekend after?

Nice car.
Thanks, trying not to give it away but sooner or later I'll have a ZR-1 in the garage and I'll NEED it gone. Still wiggle room on the price, I just need someone to make me a reasonable offer!

Hahaha. Ah, yeah. Corvette love is a disease. I bought my first early this year, but the wheels in my head are still spinning on #2, #3 and so on. But funds and space are the reality. I also have a wife that supports the, uh, "problem."

Car now has 62, 509 miles on it, I had to move it to off site storage to prepare for my ZR-1 (assuming all goes well).

Great night for a drive even if it was just to storage!
