Default 93 40th Anniversary for Sale

Putting my wife's Rudy Corvette on the market. Father past away 9 yrs ago and we are letting his Vett go. The car is very close to original minus the battery and some interior trim add on's. Mileage on car is more than originally believed and reads 8991. Never out side and never been in any weather "at all"! Has the leather interior, manual transmission, Bose am/fm cassette, has a clear and a smoked removable top, and ride control . I apologize if I was misleading with this Ruby, but I'm leaning as I go with this one. After getting straightened out we are asking $16,000 obo. Car has a few stone chips and 2 scuffs on front end which are in pics further down the page. Working on finding all paper work. It's together just have to find it.
Thank you all.

Thanks, and yes pics will be coming. We live in Western NY and I'm hoping for a break in weather so I can get car out of storage and give a washing. Car has been under a cover for 4 yrs. We are moving to Nashville TN in March, but car will stay at mother-in-laws house while we transition.

We, finally got up and got car out and gave it a quick cleaning. Car is just as nice as it was last time we drove it 2 yrs ago. Does have more miles than I thought however. 8991 is the odometer reading. Did not clean inside as I was racing rain here are some pics

Interior is 100% perfect! I would give paint a 90% has a few chips that a good detailer could take care of.

The Ruby looks great! You need to post a price per Forum rules. How much are you looking for?

Wife's father past away unexpectedly 9 yrs ago, we are looking for all paper work. Everything is with car, we just need to get it rounded up and we will have pics of all that once we find it. Hopefully we are not to far off with price. Like we said obo.

If you are looking for feedback on your price now that you asked you are too high on your published price. You have what looks to be a well carred for Ruby, the price you seek is for a very low mile car in condition 1. You car is not a condition 1 car as you have been very truthful with your description and pictures which indicate several scratches and blemishes as well as aftermarket interior trim pieces that were added. I'm sure your father in law treated the car very well and many times there is an emotional attachment with the car. You car looks great and will be a super car for someone with the desirable miles and 6-speed. It's one of 6749 made with the anniversary package and 1 of 4,204 coupes. With that being said it's worth what someone will pay. I watch these cars all the time, being a Ruby owner myself and what you describe is a car worth between $14,000 to $16,000 depending on condition and tires with that mileage and options in my opinion. Look on the forum and see what others have sold at. Three years ago I sold a convertible with 2,500 miles that was a condition one car for $22,500 but it was showroom condition. It was a car I was afraid to drive to be honest with you. I now have a car with 18,000 that's a great car with a stone chip and a mark on the car but it also was a car not in the $20s. Again just trying to help out as you have a great car, a car I would love to own and drive myself but it's not priced accordingly to market conditions or the present value. Consider lowering it and you will sell this fine example of a Ruby. Best of luck with the sale!

Thanks for your input. We are in the dark with it and really appreciate you taking the time to get me pointed in the right direction. I'm a muscle car area guy and hopefully going to find a home for the corvette.

NEW PRICE $16,000 obo. Talked with family and after learning what the car really is we are lowering price. Was unaware of aftermarket interior trim, and at 8991 does have more miles than originally believed. Car deserves a better life than sitting in a garage with "stuff" packed around it.

I want to see someone enjoy this car as well. Last suggestion is to edit your first or original post to include your asking price. Maybe add it in red so it's noticeable to prospective buyers. You should also add that the car has selective ride control, which is a desirable option.

Looking for my late grandfathers old corvette just to see if it is still on the go. It was a Ruby Red anniversary edition and was sold early 2000's from Labelle Florida. So far thats the only information that I have. His name was Alexander Gilfillan. I don't have any VIN numbers or anything, just reaching out and hoping that somebody could point me in the right direction as I had a lot of memories in that car when I was younger.

We are looking for paper work, have a lot going on. Middle of going to Nashville to look at homes, sale a home, and be moved by middle March. The car was bought from Faulk Motorsports, but from what I'm leaning they closed due to owners health. They where the first I tried when we decided to explore getting rid of it. I will do my best to find papers. I think it's a one owner but not sure. My father in law was pretty finicky, so we just have to find the paper work.

Hello GTO, how was the mileage accumulated? All at once early on, a few hundred a year every year, has it pretty much just sat for the last 9 years? I'm just concerned what may happen when it's put back into regular use. Looks like a really nice car.
