Default 1986 Automatic Coupe - Cheap Project - $2000 - PA 17517

I bought this 86' back in the fall mainly because it was for sale on the side of the road on my commute, the price was right and it had some z06 wheels that I wanted for my c5.

Fast forward to today and I haven't done much with the car and I have no desire to give it the attention that it needs so it is for sale, as-is. A project for sure.

Here's some basic Info, Please read it all before contacting me.

96k miles

Automatic

Registered Antique in PA (no inspection required)

Paint and interior are rough. (repainted poorly and paint is orange peeled and flaking, seats are in bad shape, top has a crack)

The car has Chrome valve covers, aftermarket mufflers and steering wheel, SLP intake runners, new master cylinder.

Speedometer is the only working gauge, digital dash needs some help.

Rust on passenger floor, seat is loose at the rear because of this. The floor is not completely rusted out but the rear two mounting points are loose so I'd replace this section.

No radio.

Tires are dryrotted and cause highway vibration- I picked up a set of correct c4 wheels for it and the tires on them are very old and it shows. 9.5" square set.

The trans shifts pretty well for a 30 year old car, 1-2 shift is slow sometimes. It feels like possibly the car has a shift kit but I can't confirm. No slipping.

I have driven the car no more than 50 miles since purchasing it, it ran well but drove like a 30 year old car that needs some maintenance.

***EDIT, I replaced the alternator and the car is now running well***

If the asking price is met and you are within' two hours of PA, 17517 I will deliver the car by trailer after it is paid for and the title transferred.

Asking $2000 - FIRM!

Expect a car needing some TLC. Obviously a $2000 Vette isn't ready to get in and go.

I may consider a part out if I line buyers up for the major components.

Located in Denver, PA 17517

Text 717-271-8781 with interest.

Thanks!

-Jason

Looks like a ton of fun for someone! Of course always far away from me.

Looks like the only thing that's worth anything on the car is the intake runners.Time to start parting out the Vette.

New alternator going on this evening.

I hate to part out a car that functions, if it comes to it I will but I'm sure there's someone out there with more mechanical ability than cash that would love a cheap fixer upper.

You might make more $ on it parting it out, BUT it would be a shame to part out a car that is 100% complete.

Yeah, I'm sure its worth more in pieces but if someone wants to save it I'd much rather see that happen.

New alternator installed. The car is now running well and you could drive it home if you're brave. (tires are dangerously awful)

bummer, if this was a manual I would take it off your hands even with the work needed :/

Good luck with the sale! Somebody will have some fun it in

Thanks!

If it were manual I think I'd be more interested in keeping it around and fixing it up.

A local guy bought it for restoration so it'll get a second chance!
