Default 1987 Corvette less than 10,000 miles

I just inherited an 87 Corvette with less than 10,000 miles. I don't know much about them but it has been stored in my uncles climate controlled building since he bought it. What do you guys think its worth? where can I go to sell it?

I was told that my uncle would have a mechanic come in to change fluids and rotate tires so they would not get flat spots or warp from the car sitting so long in one spot. thanks for the heads up I will make sure to get them rotated back.

My Guess here in the Northeast it is an 8K-10K car.

Those rims are not on backwards. That is the correct direction for 84 to 87.

Are you sure it is an 86, it has 87 wheels and the 87 mirror wind deflectors?
Beautiful car!

That would be an 87. Production starts in August I believe for the next year. I know the plant shuts down for 2 weeks in July to retool.

Another vote for 87. Check your VIN # or the EPA tag under the hood.

Sadly, much less than what you'd think it would.

Most likely, you'll get around $10K, if you find the right buyer. I've seen people on here sell mid 90's Vettes, with low miles, for $13k after waiting out over a year...and even turning down offers of that amount initially, only to finally give in.

C4s are sadly undervalued right now, and in the end you might even end up angry with how little it will bring.

I actually sold my C4 because the cost to restore it was going to be 3 or 4 times the value of the car.

It's a beautiful car, and I would be happy to own it if I was in the market.

Good Luck with the sale, and don't take the low offers personally. It's the nature of the C4 market.

I agree with Dime......keep it and enjoy it yourself.

I would run it on ebay, don't start the bidding from nothing, start it around 8K then let people bid the car up.

Just run it once it will cost you about 50, you can run it on CL but then you get every nut that wants you to give them the car for free.

Its a very nice example of a C4 you might be pleasantly surprised, with spring close by it might do very well with those low miles.

8K is a reasonable offer for that car. If you want 10K you'll need to replace seats (why do they look like that with 10k on the car?), carpet, and probably weatherstrip. That will cost 2k minimum

I agree the wear on the drivers seat appears to be much more than 10K wear. Would also need to figure a set of tires at an easy $ 1K.

The seats look like they need a good cleaning.

I have heard a couple comments about the seats being dirty or looking rough but maybe its just the picture because from what I see the seats are in great shape. Maybe a little dusting is needed.

thank you
