Why do you say opti unit is going away? Are those seat covers,Why.Was car stored outside looks dirty,aluminum oxidized?

Family member is a mechanic who works on corvettes. Says it will have to be replaced shortly. Car is NOT garage kept but has two car covers. Lots of pollen at the current location. There is no rust
