Default 1991 ZR-1 42k miles

$16,500. See my local CL ad. Tried to sell a year and a half ago...lowered the price and put back all the stock exhaust.

What is your power output with the ported intake and chip?

With the factory manifolds you can get 350-360 rwhp, but with headers 380-390 rwhp is much more typical. So maybe 410 hp crank corked up and 440 hp with good pipes.

The one difference, even with not the best exhaust, is the chip and the porting still help produce a lot more poke in the upper mid range...say from 4800rpm-up. Good airflow with the full exhaust gives even more mid range pop but also doesn't fall off in top end power as much. It might extend power peak 200-300 rpm.

It isn't all about peak numbers- these 32valve engines just have a wider powerband. It's kind of like a Coyote mustang more than any smallblock.

Very nice looking ZR-1 at a very attractive price, if only I had space for another Corvette, GLWS.

Not completely out of the question... just depends what it is. I'm looking for super clean manual transmission 90's trucks, or smog exempt stuff. Cash is always king of course.

Are there more upgrades??

Has blueprinted ZF transmission by Bill Boudreau
Chip and ported intake
rebuilt bilstein shocks
C5 front brake conversion with genuine ZR-1 A-Mold wheels (from '94-'95 car)
functional Bose stereo with new amplifiers.
new wheel bearings and tandem fuel pumps.
Will pass smog and has the stock exhaust system installed.

It used to have headers with the full stainless works cat back with vacuum actuated muffler flaps, but that will be available separately. There's a laundry list of small and medium repairs over the years that I didn't want to clutter the ad with. It still has the 3.45 rear axle and dual mass flywheel. It has the Lucas/FIC injectors that I did in 2011. It is a top end port, chip, and bolt-ons car- I didn't want to screw up the driveability side of it too much. It probably has 440-450hp (crankshaft) with headers. I thought it was a good hp level for a C4. It was enough to keep stock C5 Z06's from rolling past you.

Hi would be interested in your headers and the cat back SS works exhaust system. I have a 1990 ZR-1 that I would like to make these mods to.
