99 Corvette Hardtop 39K miles pewter (now official)
Even though I hate to do this I am in a position where I am out of state for a few months for a job then come back near the beginning of the winter. Will be purchasing a house when I move back near Chicago and right now the Corvette just doesnt fit into the picture. This sale is not 100% but its looking like the smart thing to do :-(
Here are the specs:
-99 Hardtop 39,xxx original miles
-Light Pewter Metallic/Black leather interior
-Z51, 6spd manual (all hardtops)
-Heads Up Display (HUD)
-Bose stereo
-Power drivers seat
This car is the closest thing to showroom condition you will find for a 99. All original paint, always garaged and stored winters. The interior is flawless the drivers seat doesnt even show wear in it. Oil changed myself using mobile one synthetic and everything works 100%.
As far as extras go the car remains mostly stock with the exception of:
-New 18x9.5"front and 18x10.5"rear chrome Z06 wheels with new Kuhmo MX tires
-Front/rear stainless inserts
-B&B Tri-Flo Route 66 exhaust (great sound just a notch louder than stock)
-Magnaflow tru X-pipe (to reduce motorboat sound)
-Front/Rear full interior insulation kit (reduces interior noise and heat)
-Stainless gauge rings and shifter insert
-Z06 Calipers
-Lowered on stock bolts
-20% window film
-New Optima red top battery
The week before I stored it away it won 1st in class of 97+ C5 Corvettes beating 03 and 04 vettes (to give an example of condition).
I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I would be looking to get $24,000 for this car and am firm on that price. I am not in a rush to sell it so I can wait for the right buyer. The car is currently stored at home in the garage under a cover located in Fox Lake IL (Chicago northwest suburb).
If you would like more information feel free to e-mail me at JTS90SC@Comcast.net or contact me on my cell at 847-769-7307
P.S. I also have many many more pictures of my pride and joy upon request.
Thank you.
James

Damn JT, your gonna regret selling this car. Im sure you'll be back in a vette though.
This car is just as nice as it looks in the pics. Someone will enjoy this car very much.
Good luck and get ahold of me when you get back. Theres a spot on my passenger seat for you if you sell the vette and wanna go for a ride.

Dude --- dont do it ...Not sure if you remember me, but I had the same car. 99 pewter FRC with the z06 chromies....You will sell that and cry when it drives away...Especially with the care you have given that thing!
But if you do end up selling it, its a gorgeous ride!!!! TTT for a 99 pewter FRC owner!!
Here's my baby that's long gone ---

I'm not a big fan of silver but you just sold me. Either your camera is magic or that is the best looking hard top I have ever seen. KEEP IT or be sorry for ever.

Sorry I have not kept up with the forum regarding the vette. I have however replied to everyones e-mails and PM's. I do still have the car but found out after posting the car for sale that the government will not allow me to travel home while I am here for training in OKC. I basically have been telling everyone that once I get home I will get back to everyone that has shown interest and then go from there. I apologize for this and will be back home to the car sept 28.
Thanks,
James
