1999 Torch Red FRC for sale in Southern California
I'm selling my Torch Red 1999 fixed roof coupe for $22,500. Six speed, Z51 suspension, black leather interior, no HUD. It has 47.2K miles. Here are the following options:
AG1 power six way driver's seat
AP9 parcel net
B34 floor mats
TR9 lighting option
UN0 AM/FM stereo ETR w/S&S, compact disc
UZ6 Bose speakers and amplifiers
JL4 active handling system
70U Torch Red
It has the following tasteful mods:
B&B Route 66 exhaust with oval tips (a factory exhaust will be included in the sale)
Factory 2001 thin spoked custom powder coated metallic gray, with Z06 sized Firestone Wide Oval tires (265-40-17 front/295-35-18 rear)
New Z06 front and rear sway bars, bushings, and metal end links (purchased from Fred Beans, the originals will be included in the sale)
New Bilstein sport shocks (I tossed the worn out old shocks)
Z06 grills in the openings in the front end
Z06 red fuel rail covers (the original covers will be included in the sale)
Lloyds floor mats (originals will be included in the sale)
Shorty antenna (the original will be included in the sale)
Interior partition
Red covers for the grab handles (held on with velcro, easily removeable)
Red shift boot (the original black boot will be included in the sale)
I bought this car in early June of 2005 from a CF member and it's given me nothing but good service. The only maintainance I've had to complete in 9K miles of driving are routine Mobile 1 oil and filter changes and changing the serpentine belts (I have the dealer receipts). The car runs great, runs strong, no leaks at all and with the limited suspension upgrade of the tires, new shocks and Z06 bars it handles very well. It tracks straight and true, with even tread wear. The wheels and tires have 5K miles on them and still look near-new. No curb rash or chips in the powder coated finish. The paint is still very nice, it has a few chips here and there but nothing you wouldn't expect for a car with 47K miles. I've taken it to many CF events here in SoCal and everyone likes it, I've had folks (non Vette folks) ask me if it's a new car. You don't see that many FRC Vettes, even in a big city like L.A. One of the reasons I bought was the squeaky clean motor, I've tried my best to keep it up and it still looks very nice. The exhaust sounds nice and burbly, no drone and very comfortable at cruising speeds. But it does bark when you get your foot in it. The interior is in good shape, the seats show some wear but nothing drastic. The car is nice and tight with no squeaks or rattles. It has a clean CARFAX, I can provide the VIN to anyone that asks so they can check for themselves. The A/C works good, the stereo sounds nice, all of the options work and it doesn't display any error codes in the DIC. Really a nice car and I'm a bit sad to see it go. But I'm replacing this Vette and my 2002 Mustang GT with a new 2007 paddle shifted Vette I have on order. PM me, post here, or email me at mustang_joey@yahoo.com. Thanks!!!

I forgot to mention the car came with two keys but only one fob, so I bought another one and programmed it. I also have the window sticker for the car as well as a factory brochure.

You can also see my FRC here:

Check out the instructional videos, that's my car. I live a few blocks from the Adam's shop, I've been there before for a detail day. They borrowed the car for a few days to make their new DVD. The car was squeaky clean when I got it back! When Adam cleans the wheels he mentions that they're painted, they're not. They're powdercoated.

Mike it was a pleasure to meet you and I hope the car gives you the same thrills and trouble-free service it gave me! With luck my 2007 C6 will be as reliable. Thanks a bunch! I bought the 99 from a Forum member and I sold it to a Forum member. That's totally cool!
