FOR SALE 2003 Electron Metallic Blue Coupe W/ 500RWH NA
For Sale: 2003 Electron Metallic Blue Coupe 416 LS3 500 RWH All Motor:
Well the time has come to sell my car. I have owned this car since the day I drove it off the showroom floor. I own the car outright. There are no liens and I have the title. This corvette is in almost mint condition with a lot of modifications. I have made 500 RWH with 470 RWT on all motor. I have dyno graph to prove. This car is extremely fast and it is a head turner. At wide open throttle it sounds like a Nascar. This car is totally street able with a nice sounding cam. It can be used as a daily driver. There is not much that can keep up with me. Car should run a mid 10’s in the quarter mile. Mike from Mike Norris Motorsports has done most of the work on this car as well as the tuning. You can contact Mike Norris if you need more information about me or my car. This car is also equipped with a pillar pod with fuel pressure and boost gauges and a Kenne Bell Boost a Pump if later down the line you decide you want to add nitrous or a supercharger. You will not be disappointed.

It is a nice car but whenever a car is heavily modified like this, it really, really, narrows down the amount of potential buyers.
There are numerous reasons as to why, but the main ones are apprehension due to the mods; who did them, how reliable are they, does it reduce reliability & drive ability of the car, can it pass strict state emissions, potential problems, codes, leaks, octane issues, etc.
Not to say that this car will or does have these issues. But they are always there, a potential, due to it being heavily modified.
9 out of 10 - C5 buyers will want a factory car. An air intake or exhaust mods are about as far as they will want to go with any engine mods. A factory stock C5 will sell much faster and have a wider appeal to the market. That is the way it is.

9 out of 10? Really? Maybe you haven't been following the interest surrounding the modded C5s for sale in this forum.
I assure you, many, many of us on this board wouldn't be interested in a stock Corvette, and here's five reasons why:
(1.) Unless it's a new Z06 or ZR1, stock Corvettes suck
(2.) We've modded past Corvettes and learned it's much cheaper to buy one that's already done (let someone else spend all the money)
(3.) See #1
(4.) See #1
(5.) See #1
Anybody with any knowledge can gauge the quality of the mods by the parts used, and who did the work.
This car is a beautiful giant-killer, built with the best pieces by one of the best tuners in the country. It'll sell to the discerning individual who's not satisfied with the run-of-the-mill grocery getter.

I've rebuilt, restored, raced and been involved in the aftermarket world for almost 20 years. I've had a car featured in Car Craft magazine. I've raced muscle cars, repaired them, restored them, etc.
One thing that rings true in any aftermarket performance application to cars like this;
1 - Is that they will have issues
2 - There is no such thing as a true "bolt-on"
3 - When modded, odds are the cars will be less reliable
Most aftermarket parts DO NOT go through the same engineering and R&D that a factory application goes through. Many manufactures make aftermarket parts quickly and with little or no R&D. It's trial and error and the people who buy the parts & install them become the test mules and the BETA testing is done with customer cars.
If a modded car is done right, it can be a decent driver. But one only needs to read all the threads about how their modded C5 is having issues. Whether it be drive ability, reliability, leaks, codes, emission issues, etc.
Really? A 400HP/430HP - C6 sucks? Even a stock C5 with 350HP is a decent car. It can run low 13's and high 12's. That is fast.

I appreciate your vast experience of 20 years. My modding experience covers 40 years, starting with a (new) '69 Z/28 and progressing through countless vehicles, including 3 Corvettes so far.
All three of your statements concerning modded cars could not possibly be more wrong, which leads me to believe you either have not owned a modded car or owned one done poorly.
"One thing that rings true in any aftermarket performance application to cars like this;
1 - Is that they will have issues

3 - When modded, odds are the cars will be less reliable"
(1) None of my extensively modded cars had, or have "issues" outside of the fact rear tires don't seem to last long, and they seem to use a lot of gas.
(2) I used to market aftermarket parts and services for one of the region's largest tuners and I can assure you, there are many true bolt-on parts.
(3) None of my modded cars were or are less reliable than stock. In fact their higher-quality components for the most part make them more durable (let's spin your stock and my forged motor repeatedly to 7K and see how they hold up).
"Really? A 400HP/430HP - C6 sucks? Even a stock C5 with 350HP is a decent car. It can run low 13's and high 12's. That is fast."
Yes, a 400HP/430HP C6 sucks compared to a 500HP/550HP C6 (or anything else). A stock C5 with 350HP is anemic to many on this board, that's why they mod them. Low 13s and high 12s is fast to some people, I suppose.
The bottom line is this - inserting your anti-modded cars diatribe into a posting for a modded car for sale is unfair to the original poster. Using nonfactual wives tales to make your point and scare away potential buyers is simply classless and wrong.
Sorry, Ronnie, for crashing your thread.
Moderators, please remove these non-relevant posts from this thread so this guy can sell this awesome car.

"One thing that rings true in any aftermarket performance application to cars like this;
1 - Is that they will have issues
2 - There is no such thing as a true "bolt-on"
3 - When modded, odds are the cars will be less reliable"

This car was in fact built with some of the best components that you can buy. It is emissions freindly including it has the cats and air tubes the cam is not over the the top where the car is shaking all over the place. It has been built by one of the best tuners who's been in this market alot longer than most guys on this forum. I am selling a clean fun car that is extremely fast gets 22 MPG on tha highway and is not a pain in the *** to drive around in traffic. Virtually every part of this car is new or has been bulletproofed.

I have bought 3 heavily modded Vettes (500+ hp) off the forum because of reason #2. Never had a major issue with any of them. My current Vette had 90,000 miles on it when I bought it! (heads/cam/intake/exhaust/stock block '01 Z06!)
