Default FS: 2001 Z06 Black / Black & Oak Interior w/ 58K Miles (Philly, PA) Area

For Sale 2001 Corvette Z06 – 58,xxxx miles

Car is located near Norristown, PA

Asking Price $22,900 or Best Offer

The car is a black 2001 Z06 that had been modded for doing HPDEs and has seen a good amount of track time. Formerly owned and Tracked by Jersey95.

The outside paint shows signs of wear from it's days on the track, but from 5 ft away it looks great. The interior is completely redone and in great shape. It has a nice after-market stereo set-up and everything works well except for the few minor problems stated below.

If you any questions please feel free to PM or email me at ajg5@aol.com

This Z06 does not burn oil. Some may worry about that since it's a 2001.

Make me some offers, I'm ready to deal. Working to clean up my car and part overflow up.

email is ajg5@aol.com

Mobile is 610-212-8054 It's a long winded message since it's my primary work contact number. Just press the astricks * to by pass the message.

Thanks,
Tony

How did the harness melt? Would it be practical as a DD? How are the trans and rear?

I had the clutch replaced by ECS in October of 2009 with a textralia twin unit we had laying around the house.

Looks like one of the ties that is used to hold the harness in place broke and the harness flopped around over by the exhaust pipe and melted the outer case and a few wires together.

I tried to separate them and re-tape them up, but the right signal light is not working right.

I didn't notice the problem until the signal light started fast cycling when you turned on the right signal indicator.

I have another harness from a 2001 Z06, that is in like new condition and already to go.

As for a daily driver, the interior is all ready to go.

I would change the shocks and sway bars, if I wanted to turn it into a daily driver.

I could provide you with some Z06 shocks and sway bars as part of the deal, etc ... The reason I suggest these changes is the car is equipped with VBP poly bushings and they are a lot stiffer than the factory bushings.

I have a complete suspension set-up ("A" arms, spindles and hubs) from another one of my parts cars. You would just need some new ball joints installed and you would be ready for the street.

You might also want to swap out the clutch to a lighter unit if you're in heavy traffic as the Textralia twin would wear on you a bit.

The transmission and differential work fine, no problems, whine or leaks and she shifts smoothly.

My bro, who bought the car back in October of 2008 had intended to use the car for HPDE's and a little bit of street driving to and from the HPDE's, however his plan changed and the car has been sitting up at the house since November 2009.

He bought himself a Miata instead as he plans to buy a sports racer and the Miata has similar driving style to a sports racer (Radicals / STOHR's).

If you need more info feel free to drop me a PM or call me on my mobile listed in post #2 of this thread.

Thanks,
Tony
