99 Black/mod red FRC for sale
It’s time to sell my ‘99 black/mod red hardtop (or FRC, fixed roof coupe) c5 corvette. I’ve had the car since summer ’08 and it’s been a great vehicle. The only reason for selling is I’m in a position to buy my another car I've always wanted so this has to go. Price is 17.5k OBO. This is not a fire sale and I do not need it gone immediately so if you’re thinking of offering me 13k don’t even bother. Located in the DC suburbs in Maryland.
FRCs were not offered with red interiors, I bought my mod red panels from a forum member. The only mod red interiors offered in a hardtop were on a z06 so you will not find a more affordable c5 hardtop in this color combo with mileage as low as mine unless someone else swapped interiors as I did. Now, on to the details of the car.
- 50,300 miles
- Z51 car, 6 speed (as all FRCs are)
- Black with mod red interior panels and red floor mats (black seats though)
- LG pro long tube headers, high flow cats, with titanium Z06 catback exhaust
- Blackwing intake
- Ls6 intake manifold and throttle body
- Lowered on stock bolts
- Flat black powder coated OEM Speedline Z06 wheels with black centers and black lugs
- Kirban shifter and MGW **** (**** has since been discontinued)
- Debadged
- Tune by RPM in Delaware
- Real rear c5Z brake ducts with hydrocarbon finish
- Car was just recently waxed a month ago
- New battery two weeks ago
- I have a fitted indoor/outdoor cover that will go with the car as well as hawk brake pads, the car doesn’t need pads yet but when it does you’ll have them
- Have the original manual and two keys with one fob
The Bad:
The car has three issues. The e brake light won't go off. This is obviously a small issue. If you pull the carpet apart from the center console you can manually move the e brake switch and make the light go off.
There's also a small suspension noise coming from the rear which I can't figure out. The car drives fine and feels just as surefooted as the day I bought it which is why I haven't bothered to figure out the noise. The noise only shows up when going over large bumps or potholes.
Overall the paint is in very good condition. The front bumper has some spider cracking from being towed (unbeknownst to be), this is shown in pictures. Also the paint on the front bumper and front of the hood had some stone chips as is normal for all cars of this age and mileage.
Pics below, there are 77 pics on my photobucket if you want to see more.

I've been getting a few trade offers recently. Just to clarify I've already bought another car so I'm not interested in trades of any kind unless you want to give me your ford gt for my car straight up.

Awesome FRC....
Just sold a Black '99 FRC. Had a squeaky noise in mine before I sold it. Replaced the sway bar bushings and it went away. The rubber dries out and they just need replacing. Very easy and cheap to do. GLWS!!
