Default Upgraded C5 Vert with a C6 Z06 Power Curve

The perfect C5 (IMHO ;-)

$17,950

Torch Red Vert with a 6 speed Manual Trans and tons of upgraded NA power in just the right places on the power curve and a suspension setup that keeps it glued to the ground.

I love this car, but its time to move on.

The drivetrain work was all done by Charlie and crew at RPM in Santa Clarita, and the suspension work was done by Lang Racing Development.

Freshly upgraded and refurbished 1998 "Little Red Corvette"

The power and torque curve almost exactly matches a C6 ZO6....We set the engine up to put the peak torque in the funnest and most usable place in the RPM range....this car is an absolute blast to drive as a daily driver, track day car, or Sunday cruiser....no high RPM diva here that only has power at the very highest RPM's where no one actually drives around at.

The engine only has around 6000 miles on it since the rebuild and upgrades, we built it right to be durable and reliable as a daily driver that can also put up some great times at the local Autocross or Track Day....the car has had 3 HPDE track days as a shake down to make sure everything is in tip top shape and was not pushed to its limits, never raced....its a Bruizer Cruizer that can go around curves.

The heads are carb certified AFR 205's and the cam was selected to give maximum midrange power and still pass the smog sniffer test.

All of the rotating parts that go bad over time on the accessory drive have been changed and/or upgraded for reliability.

The engine is in tip top shape and will serve as a great daily driver for another 150,000 miles with basic maintenance.

I've spent over $17,000 in upgrades to make the car corner like its on rails and still be comfortable and reliable as my daily driver.

Upgrades include but are not limited to:

-MGW Short Throw Shifter
-XS Power Long Tube Headers with X-Pipe and High Flow Cats
-Bimarco Futura Seats....$1,000
-AFR 205 Small Port High Velocity Torque Monster Heads $3,000 installed
-223/227 610/613 Torque monster cam $3,500 installed with the crank pinned
-Patriot Extreme Springs (still new) $500
-Comp Rocker Trunion Upgrade
-LS7 Lifters
-Power Steering Fluid Cooler
-Ported Oil Pump (great oil pressure even in high G turns and while running at higher engine temps)
-LS7 Clutch, Brand New, holds all the power while keeping OEM drivability ($1,000 installed)
-Remote Clutch Bleeder
-LS6 Intake Manifold $400
-Ported Throttle (Ported by Formato) $130
-LG CAI $180
-New AC Pump
-New Water Pump
-New Power Steering Pump
-Power Steering Pump Cooler
-New Tensioners
-New Belts
-New Crank Pulley

$700 installed for those last 6 parts

-New Kinetic Slotted and Drilled Brake Rotors $500
-New Hawk Performance Ceramic Break Pads $300
-New Advan Neova ADO8 front and rear tires 305/30/19 rears 265/35/18 fronts (super sticky street tires $1500
-Lightweight LED Headlights $400
-Custom Rear Fascia with removable Blackout kit
-Double Adjustable Coilovers at all four corners $2000
-Hotchkiss Sport Adjustable Sways Bars wit upgraded metal end links....car is nearly perfectly balanced between under steer and over steer. $450
-Delrin Power Steering Rack Bushing $300 installed
-Speed Density PCM Tune by one of the best tuners in the Country $600 (Charlie at RPM in Santa Clarita)

You'll be hard pressed to find a more reliable, better performing (all around performance), and better looking car for the money.

$17,950

This car is one hell of a bargain...

How do you do track days without a roll bar in a vert?

Never mind, just reread the post and saw a bolt in roll bar.

Yeah, I thought I'd hate that bar in the car visually, but after putting it in I actually like visually so I leave it in all the time.

Did I miss the miles?

How is the paint?

It's a very nice car.

Hello Suns....the chassis has around 134,000 miles, but the mileage is irrelevant in this car, as the interior, suspension, brakes, engine and Wheels/Tires have all been rebuilt/upgraded in the last 6000 miles or so, as has the whole accessory drive.

The paint is a 9 out of 10 with the typical little imperfections that you find on a C5...nothing that stands out unless you are closely inspecting the car like at a car show.

Everyday that I take the car out people approach me and compliment it, and other vette owners say how "clean" the car is.

This is a driver's car, not a collectors car ;-)

Meaning that if you want low chassis miles as a collector then its not the right car for you, but if you want a drop dead gorgeous car that is super reliably built and fast both in a straight line and around curves, then this car is for you, and is great bang for the buck.

Bump....gunna give it till this weekend and then take the car back to stock and part out the high performance mods....hate to do it that way cause its such a well thought out build and well sorted, balanced car.

It has a perfect balance of power and handling as is ;-)
