Default WTB C5 on budget

How's it going everyone. Looking to buy a M6 C5 but I'm on a budget. Absolute most I can spend is $10k. I'm in Northern CA so would perfer something local. Willing to have one shipped but then I would need to buy for less because of 3rd party inspection and shipping costs. I'm looking for a daily driver that is mechanically sound. Cosmetic issues don't matter. I realize with my budget I'm not going to get a low mileage stunner but need the car to be well running with no mechanical issues and must have manual trans. Thanks!

Get an auto for now then unload it in how ever many months and get your stick. In AZ prices are dropping but I can't find the exact one I want. Fortunately for me my budget is more than yours and I can hold out until I find what I want. Good luck on your search.

Oh you can also try auto tempest dot com. That is a nationwide search that will search CL, Fleabay and other sites for you. I used that when I was looking for my Grand National.

I'll try auto tempest. I want a 87 GN one day too haha. I won't buy an auto for now. I would rather just buy once. I work 12 hour shifts so not a lot of free time to buy and sell a car. Need to make every minute count I guess.

I do hope you are a mechanic. You'll probably need to be with a $10k Corvette, unless it has a salvage title (although that doesn't have to mean it isn't in excellent mechanical shape).

nope not a mechanic. know a lot of good ones though. I've seen decent C5s go for 10 and under so I don't think it's too far . I'm not opposed to a salvaged title one either as long as the frame is straight.

Save up another 3.5-4K and you can buy a Z06 (if you are ok with a hard top). I see them all the time asking 14k and they are mostly in the 90k mile range.
