[Southern California] FS: 2002 C5 Coupe manual electron blue $13,000.
Sold for $12.5k on 8 Dec 14.
Price: $13,000
Location: Costa Mesa, California
This is my 2002 C5 Corvette Coupe in Electron Blue with the MN6 6 speed manual transmission. I am the original owner and I've taken excellent care of this car (thanks to all the help from CorvetteForum). I am a non-smoker, this car is clean. Oil changes were all done on time with Mobile 1 full synthetic oil, and it has fresh spark plugs. I have both sets of keys/remotes, all the original documentation and the original Corvette owners VHS video tape that came with the car. The car has a clean title and I have the pink slip in hand.
This car has a clean Carfax report, attached in the pictures.
This car was never tracked or abused.
It runs and drives great, everything works, it has no leaks and it does not overheat. The check engine light is off and there are no trouble codes. I drove it to Phoenix last summer, running the AC the whole time; the temperature never moved out of the normal range whether I was siting in traffic or on the open road and I averaged 30.5 MPG. The car is regularly garaged at night and is a California car. I hate to see this car go, but I have kids now and need an automatic four seat car; I'm looking at 2011+ Mustangs or maybe a mid 2000s CTS-V.
This car has 103,111 miles on it, and it runs like new.
I've attached the latest smog test report for the car and, as you can see, it passed easily.
I replaced the seats in 2011 with new black leather seats from a 2012 C6 Z06 Corvette; they are a perfect fit, look great and are very comfortable. The whole interior is in great condition with no fading, rips or cracks.
In the past 3,000 miles, I replaced the air filter (ACDelco), oil (Mobile 1 full synthetic) and oil filter (Mobile 1 Extended Performance), spark plugs (NGK TR55IX Iridium plugs), spark plug wires (GM Performance Parts Red wires), PCV valve and lines (ACDelco), power steering fluid (Red Line PS fluid), clutch hydraulic fluid (Prestone DOT 4 Synthetic), oil pressure sensor (ACDelco), I cleaned the throttle body and MAF, I ran a full bottle of Techron fuel injection cleaner, and I sprayed all the bugs and dirt out of the radiator.
I've added a picture of the sparks plugs I took out of the car when I put the new NGK Iridium plugs in. The spark plugs in the picture are the original factory plugs with just over 100,000 miles them...and they look great. This clearly shows that the engine is in excellent condition with good fuel metering, and no overheats or oil leaks.
In the last year, I replaced the coolant overflow tank and cap (ACDelco), thermostat (Napa), and coolant (Prestone Dexcool).
Brakes have GM Z06 Corvette discs, GM Z06 Corvette pads on factory calipers and Prestone DOT 4 Synthetic brake fluid. The battery is an Optima red top.
The transmission has RP Synchromax fluid and the diff has Redline 75W90 GL-5 gear oil.
The computer is programmed to eliminate the CAGS skip shift.
This car has version C (the latest version) of the column lock recall (the only recall for this car), and I've additionally installed an LMC5 column lock bypass and had the computer programmed to eliminate the fuel cutoff. This is the best way to deal with the column lock issues, you will never get stranded with a column lock issue in this car.
The headlights have HIR bulbs.
The car is hardwired with a Valentine One radar detector. I'll sell it to you for $350 or remove it if you do not want it.
Tags are good through December. I have the front license plate and will install it for you if you like.
