[TX] F/S 2000 Arctic White Fixed Roof Coupe (FRC) $18,000 OBO
Sold
The C5 corvette fixed roof coupe (FRC) is one of the rarest and most difficult to find corvettes. An Arctic white FRC corvette is even harder to find. Only 315 were made in 2000 in Arctic White. They all came with a black interior and a 6 speed manual transmission. Despite a few minor flaws, this is an extremely clean example of a C5 FRC.
Clean title in hand. I think I am the third owner. All owners in TX.
I purchased this car in January of 2012 as a daily driver. My needs have changed and I need something with a bit more room so I am selling this Corvette to purchase an SUV. I do not have to sell, but a different vehicle would work better for me right now.
The engine is completely original and runs great.
Price
$17,000 OBO
Mileage
72,353
Interior
Condition – Excellent.
No HUD
Completely removed interior to install foil backed heat/sound insulation and seal common leak areas.
MGW shifter and race **** $300
New shifter box bushings
LED interior lights $90
Z06 trunk divider $110
Exterior
Condition – Several small chips and scratches, paint cracking on front fascia (hair line). With that said it is in very good condition for a 14 year old car. The paint is smooth like glass.
Upgraded brass gear headlight motors
ACA style clear HID headlight housings $200
HID headlights and fog lights (halogen high beam) $200
Plug and play resistor installed to make sure headlight buckets close normally $12
LED parking, turn signal, and reverse lights (switchback) $60
Reverse LEDs $40
Clear front turn signal lenses
Hyperflash harness (allows LED lights to flash at normal rate)
Column lock bypass $65
25% tint on front windows
15% tint on rear
Elite Engineering UHMW Rocker Panel Rails
Sac City Corvette black fangs skid plate protection
Suspension
C6 front and rear anti-sway bar end links
Brakes
Condition – Brakes pads have almost ¼” of pad material left.
Performance
Vararam VR-B2 air intake
XSPower 2.5" catback exhaust – Nice deep sound and no drone.
Centerforce Dual Friction C5 Corvette 12 inch Disc Clutch $485
C5/F-BODY Spec Steel Flywheel, LS1 $259
Maintenance
2/2012 – 67,000 miles
Pilot bearing and slave cylinder were replaced with the clutch job
Transmission fluid changed
Differential fluid changed
Fuel filter changed
New factory plugs and wires
New belt
Alignment
Date Unknown – Mileage Unknown
New A/C compressor and orifice tube. A/C was not blowing cold when I bought the car. Works great now.
Rear exhaust flanges that connect to cat back have been re-welded because one broke. I had the broken one repaired and the other one welded to keep it from breaking in the future.
Issues
Position 1 of A/C blower control does not work.
When cold, there is a roaring noise that occurs when the clutch first engages. This noise goes away once the engine/transmission/clutch warms (2-3 miles of driving or 5 minutes). The shop that installed the clutch and flywheel said the noise is clutch chatter and normal for the Centerforce clutch.
Needs tires. I would have replaced them, but tires are such a personal choice that I would rather leave that to the buyer.
The car is also for sale locally.
