Looking to buy a vette for my old man. Located in Chicago suburbs OR Central Illinois.

Would like to find a coupe or vert for under $10k. Miles don't really matter, nor does title as long as car is in working running condition. I have owned 4 vettes, 2 of which were C5s, so I am more than capable of fixing them up if they need it. However, I don't want a huge project, as I would like to gift it to him by Father's day.

To recap:

C5 Coupe or Vert
Trans: Auto (will consider 6 speed)
Color: Red, Black, Blue, White (would consider others)
Miles: Any, but prefer under 200k
Mods: Any

I know its a long shot at that price, and I may have to settle for a C4 (I had one of those as well), but I know he is a fan of the C5 and open air driving.

Thanks to BigRed67 for letting go of his beautiful '97 vette! I couldn't be happier and I know my folks will be too! It truly is in perfect condition.

We cannot wait to give it to them! Now it sits in hiding until Father's day when we will finally present it to them.

I'm glad I sold my corvette to someone like you, someone who truly appreciates a well kept vette. I hope this vette brings your parents as much happiness as it brought me. This was my first vette but definitely not my last. Unfortunately family needs take precedence right now but I'll be back in a vette sometime down the road, hopefully sooner than later.
