Caution:
I received a suspicious call from a California number about my 1999 FRC. I was not at home so the wife answered the phone. The person on the other end asked if my Vette was for sale. Well, the wife never new I had just listed it on Craigslist and on Corvetteforum. She replied that she did not know if it was for sale. The person on the other end said nothing and hung up.
I traced the number and called back. The phone number was from a business in North Hollywood, CA., Prime Locks and Safes (1-818-732-7584). I got a recorded message saying all operators were busy and to stay on the line, which I did for about 5 minutes. While waiting for someone to answer the phone, I looked up the website of the business. There was a comment in the "reviews" section alerting anyone selling a vehicle as to a scam from someone at this business.
So, if any of you have received calls from this business, proceed with caution.
