The Article or the Vette.... Seriously, I have a 2004 Z with 28,000 miles on it and I have thought about selling it to buy something newer but after reading the article I think that I will hang on to it and enjoy a bit longer. Besides I have my 72 LT-1 to keep me busy with little things that need fixing. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

A lot of interest this past week. Received calls from all over the country (WA, FL, IL). Had a local guy come by and check out the car. He claimed he saw my car on CF, but def seemed like a tire kicker/joy rider...so my guess is craigslist. For those who aren't aware of the weather in NJ, we just got slammed with 30" of snow. Prior to the meet, I explained to him that he is welcome to come and inspect the car in the garage with the lights on, start and run the car, but I will be unable to pull the car out of the garage. This gentleman started the car, looked underneath, and took about 20 mins to look over the car from top to bottom. He had nothing but wonderful things to say about the car, but was asking when we could go for a test drive.
My car is freshly detailed, under a cover, and on a battery tender. I explained to this gentleman that I don't drive the car when salt is on the ground. I explained to him that if he likes the way the car looks, he will love the way the car drives. But If he is serious, he could leave a deposit, and we could go for a ride this week after the rain storms wash the salt off the road to finalize the deal. Never heard back from him lol. My apologies to any potential buyers, but if I don't drive my pride and joy in certain conditions, then why would I throw the keys to a stranger to drive a 400 horsepower car when there is ice and show on the road? Personally, I would be wary of any seller who would oblige such a ludicrous request.

What a beauty. Not many unmolested 01-04 Z's remain. If it's a $ issue I can see why you gotta dump her, but if you want something different there isn't much out there in the 24-27 range in pumping out that much power and that can turn as many heads as this one. There are times I want to dump my 05, but then I see what else is out there in the 20-23K range with 400+ HP, looks and condition, low miles etc, not many desirable cars. I love your Z, now come summer time I bet she'll be snatched up soon. Stick close to that asking price, unmolested Z's aren't very common anymore.

Thats not that bad only about 150 miles from me, if I can ever get a free day to come view the car I'll let you know. I'm very interested but am only at the start of my search for a Z so I don't want to jump on the first one I find, even though so far yours is one of the nicest C5Zs I've found even remotely close to me.

Hey, Mike. Wanted to let you and all forum members know I am thoroughly enjoying the car you sold me. It was everything and more that you advertised. Smooth and easy transaction. The plane I was on touched down at 9:30 am and I was driving out of town with the car at 3:30 p.m. Again, thanks! I'll be sending you pics as time goes on.
