This guy is a troll , waste of time responding... any village idiot can look for a week and find a C5 in there price range. Ive had 5 C5's from 8k to 25k , I sold my c5z on here last year for 13500. Help someone that truly wants/needs help and ignore this idiot.

Troll here. Thanks for the personal attack, Always much appreciated!
When somebody has an opinion and speaks out, just feel free to attack them personally rather than the opinion itself.

You failed to mention your C5Z had well over 100k miles, which would not fit the criteria of this post. Furthermore, your well over 100k mile Z was not listed for 20k, and therefore was not under judgement by me in my original post. So why comment?

Hey everyone! Was just reading through this today and wanted to say I appreciate all those who chimed in. I'm kinda in the same boat as the OP and having trouble finding what I want or making a connection with the seller. Is it common for people to post Craiglist ads on these cars and not reply back? I don't get it. Anyway, some great advice here! Especially the bit about being patient to find what you really want and be ready to pounce on it. I've waited to long to settle

As a paying-my-way through school college student, my budget is limited. But as a car guy, there are toys I want to have and love.

Starting my search for a C5 at corvette world of Dallas proved to be out of my league. 30,000 mile cars for $26,000.
Needless to say, it's not what I'm looking for.

But even looking one here, I see people posting their 80-100k mile cars for upwards of $20,000. So, what gives? How can your car be a better example of the breed? I hate to offend anybody, but I feel that nobody is says anything because it's simply a group of people with money to blow, and us young guns stand to the side and out of the way. Then cars sit for sale and never move when there are plenty of guys shopping.

So I pose a question. What kind of car will I get if I'm looking to spend $12-14k MAX? I know there has got to be stuff out there. I'd like to find a nice example of a C5 to purchase. I stopped my search out of frustration and have only been saving more to put toward a project. On top of that, My 2011 Camaro is now paid off.

Ultimately I want a Coupe with a 6 speed, not much else matters.

All the best,
R
I sent you a PM. Let's talk!

Check out cars.com they had some 2008-2010 c6 for around 25-26 with about 60k miles. I found a few c5s with lower miles for low teens.

I had NO luck at all with finding a Car on craigslist , well , change that to buying , found some , but they were "already sold" or never got replies my favorite , "Oh , did I mention the SALVAGE TITLE " ?! Went to Cars . com & found exactly what I was looking for. I had to be patient and look at some "barkers" but they provided me with lots to look at and serious , motivated sellers . I bought a BEAUTIFUL 2000 Pewter 6 speed convertible with every option available that year for $11,600.00 . It did have a little over 100,000 miles but was very well maintained by it's one owner , good luck , be patient , you'll find one and be just as happy as I am.

Where are all theses nuts coming from with $30,000 C5s? It's mid July, most if not all the suckers have been fleeced. They are going to look really stupid in late August, pulling their over priced anticipated "Hope Chests" back into storage on 12+ year old tires and a new battery. Lmao

I'll wait another year to by a Corvette, before I let those zhit birds rip me off.

Has a clean Guaranteed Buyback Carfax that also shows a $1,740.00 over retail book valuation. Also, the car has a transferable major / comprehensive extended warranty covering not only the main drive train, but suspension and major electrical that has two years left (from August 2016 forward), Optional set of brand new chrome GM OEM wheels that look immaculate with used run flats at about 80% tread at additional cost, or the car will come with OEM original wheels and brand new Dunlop Direzza DZ 101 non-run flats with less than 50 miles on them at asking price. If I get asking price I'll pay the warranty transfer fee. Prefer local to New Mexico sale, but will consider working with a serious out of state buyer.

I asked you this question in your for sale thread, but will ask it again here. Is this the exact car that Motor Trend drove in 1998?

Shakey
